Notch just said that Minecraft sales passed the 1,000,000 mark. 6,892,131,589 to go!
Until what?
Population of planet owns minecraft presumably.
That's not possible.
At all.
Yet.

Well. Presumably possible for everyone to own a username-whatsit, just not a computer and the ability to actually play th'thing, or access to the infrastructure for the latter two.

I'unno if people in a persistent vegetative state could be considered to own anything, though, and there's people who are considered legally incapable of owning anything for whatever reason... plenty more considerations along those lines. Is it even possible to for a limbless blind/deaf person to play Minecraft?

It really isn't possible for every individual human to own Minecraft. A significant portion, though...

Yeah, how many people don't have a computer?

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Kinda interesting looking back at the start of this huge thread, like 2 years ago, and seeing how the screenshots and people's reactions have changed.

Anyway, supposed to be a big update sometime later today, with a water mob of some sort, and possibly paint.

Ran across a new tree type. Grey bark with blue-gray leaves. Drops gray barked logs, which can be made into normal planks. Drops normal saplings.

There also appear to be grey sheep that drop appropriately colored wool. After looking at the new default tileset I tried combining sand blocks and discovered that a 2x2 square of sand produces sandstone in the crafting menu. It's a nice looking block that can be re-harvested fairly quickly with a pick.
