No. This is Dwarf Fortress. Anything else is just plain denial. DF is how the owners get their living,The  moment the non B12 games forums become useless to toady is the moment the non B12 games forums can expect to be sent away.

AFAIK, it was Infiniminer that inspired Notch to make MC. I see no resemblance to DF in MC.

Don't get me wrong - a skeleton or creeper in a dungeon is pretty scary, but nothing can really be a threat to an actual well thought-out building a 3 tilehigh wall of dirt - not after DF has made me such an emphatic proponent of defenses. so damn scared of carp.

Sure these guys play like high people of some European country, but damn is this series entertaining. Especially when shits starts getting real and mysterious constructions appear.

Nope, DF played a major part in making Minecraft happen, Notch has said that he wanted to have the amazing gameplay of DF in a more accessible form. I can't find that particular interview, but there's also this one:

Dwarf Fortress and roguelikes in general are some of the biggest inspirations for the gameplay of Minecraft, and Toady One is a true hero.

In the same interview he says that he really liked the visual style of Infiniminer. So, Minecraft does look a lot like Infiniminer, but it's the gameplay that counts and that is rather close to a hermit DF Fortress or Adventure Mode with building capabilities.

It happens to be a hot-pixel shadow of that tree caused by whatever compression they saved that video in.
Also blatantly visible on the text.
