This is for a grade. And I'd prefer to impress people with epic sights to great song, not annoy them to death.
I actually bought head on, just to see what it does. Still have no clue.
It's over 99% wax. The remaining fraction of 1% is "homeopathic medicine", or as I tend to call it, "nothing". Head-On is nothing more than a candle you buy to rub on your head as a placebo.
I still don't know what it is FOR...
It is supposed to alleviate pain, like headaches

I must say, biomes make my maps look pretty dang pretty.
It's too bad they inflate the image's palette so severely.
This same image went from ~10 MB to 15.

It's also too bad that c10t doesn't support them.  The Jaycraft maps would be neat with biomes shown.

Question, when I plant trees and wheat in hell and then go back to the normal world, does it keep on growing while I am away or is everything frozen in time?

Just as it is when it is not within your viewing range in the normal world.
So, yes, it is frozen.

Notch went from daily updates to weekly updates and now it's at one update a month.
The game isn't a little small project anymore, and there is a ton of stuff he need to work with now like a lighting engine and entities and how it all works online and all kinda of stuff you never had to think of back when all we had was ten blocks, a button to spawn mobs and freshly-added water physics.

And you can't objectively say he took too long setting up a company unless you have set up a company for a similar enterprise in that particular area.

So yeah, nothing wrong with taking more time other than whiny self-entitled brats complaining about it. Not that anybody here is one, but there are few piss-poor reasons to be pissed at Notch over it.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

You've got the whole of Jaycraft that you could be filming.

Hell, you could even film someone else building something and then speed it up 10x.  That'd make a neat clip, if you did it right.

I plan on filming in Jaycraft, in fact. I'm also going to film in Skylands and in a map generated from the settings you gave me.

Only problem is that when I start recording with Fraps @ 25FPS, Minecraft's framerate drops from a respectable 20-30FPS down to a paltry 5-10FPS.

Any ideas on how to keep MC from lagging to unplayability while I film?

Join the club, I dreamed of it last night.
Same here, it was SMP and there were mobs and damage. Apparently it would be stranger if there were no coincidences.

Tetris Effect
I used to get this all the time.

The update is going to break all of the server mods.  It will be a day or two yet before we get to play with the new update.

Edit:  Update's out.  Apparently it broke the game horribly.

Just joined a server.  Mass panic occurs as night falls and everyone has no stuff.

So what changes does the new version bring, besides making nights scary again?
