Still, Notch made 218.75 bucks an hour, for that 24 hour period, which is pretty awesome.
I was working off that.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.  The obvious solution is to chain the baby up at the entrance as a kobold detector.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

This recommendation by the TF2 Team was apparently the last one I needed. I finally caved in and actually got the game. Now I'll get to the game and make a cave to live in.

I managed to get access to the offline alpha client by borrowing someone else's account. If I could buy it, I would, preferably before it increases in price, for multiplayer if nothing else. But I don't have a way to pay for it. D:

Because you want to see Notch Prosper? Because you love this game? Because you are a nice person? Because you are mentally Ill?

Take your pick!

Well.. I didn't do it for Notch.
He's a great guy and all but I didn't even consider that.

I do in fact love Minecraft.
And I am a wonderful person. [/Trollface]
And I could be mentally ill.

Damn! Method of elimination failed me.

I would have said; Because you are obscenely rich?

But that seemed unlikely

Hah. No.. I'm not rich.
Thanks though. :P

Bleh, screw it. Let's just say I'm mentally ill enough to buy a game 5 times.

The most times I've bought the same game was 3. The second two times it was dirt cheap too.

Just found a rather pretty vista, where I'll be settling. Gotta figure out what to build here.

I built a wall around a lake by the spawn point (even drowning myself to get the exact location of the spawn point, around which a shrine was built), lined it with torches, filled the inside with enough torches to more or less illuminate the whole area, and even made sure the only access was with ladders. Before this was completed, the hills around the lake, and those in the distance, were swarming with spiders, creepers, and zombies. Since building the glowing wall, I've only seen a single skeleton, which apparently spawned in a dark corner of the fortress. The surrounding terrain is completely empty, aside from the herds of cows, pigs, and sheep, with their incessant noises and getting in my way. >:|

Exactly how far out do torches stop mobs from appearing? My walled city seems kind of pointless, aside from the aesthetics of it, when nothing spawns anywhere near it. :/
