red stuff will be useful in multiplayer, especially with infinite map
we could build a continent spanning telegraph.

light-light-light-dark-dark-dark-light-light-light... somebody needs help!

Not if it's more than 300 spaces. Then you need players constantly between them, lest the grue eats the signals in the dark unloaded chunks..
I'll get a pic of mt castle sometime soon. Waterslide FTW!
So... not internet, but LAN?

Spoiler: My place (click to show/hide)

So...whatdya think? Also, I have EPIC caverns under there. I can wander around down there for hours. And then I have to find the way back out...

Not terrible. It's a bit messy for my tastes though, plus, no roof!

My current home
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The roof ain't perfect, but maybe I'll figure out a way to make it look better.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

Err, maybe?

I really hope Minecraft has LAN...for those times when you have networking but no internet... :P

Dah, two weeks maybe.  Or even less.  That's a terrible time for Multiplayer.  I've got shit to do.  Also, I liked being able to make cloth armor out of sheep, now I have to slaughter cows for one piece of leather at a time.  Now that I have a problem with the slaughtering, but there's just not enough of them.

I have no idea what song that's supposed to be... Also, Link won't take his money: the game does not have pots... or giant gem currency. And if there's money in your grass that's your problem.

or giant gem currency.

Currency?  Not exactly.  Just there's giant gems alright, probably even stored in chests.  Lock the door, and hope he doesn't have any spare keys.

Not quite sure what song that is. However, I think there is cause for alarm.

Those Rupees are mine!

Song: so I can't type humming very well, sue me.

Are the ores or the finished products rupees?  I see you have a buttload of red "rupees", but I guess you have to beat your swords out of the gray rupees?  Cool tileset anyway.

The red rupees are Redstone. The blue is diamond, the grey is processed iron.

EDIT: Time to break out the SNES, After hearing this, I think I HAVE to play a Link to the Past again.

64 silver rupees?! You sir, are the richest man in all of hyrule.

They were only worth 5 in Ocarina of Time.

EDIT 2(okay 3 really!):
It's times like this I regret choosing the N64 over the SNES (Bro's got the SNES). Still, They both have amazing games.

Yeah, I knew the colors corresponded to each.  I just couldn't tell in the silver/metal rupees were ore or bars.

And I have a sneaking suspicion you hunt out red ore just so you can have a giant pile of rupees.

Speaking of money, did anyone else notice the hint in the last podcast transcript, or somewhere, from Notch that eventually gold will be used for an in-game currency with a hard value?  That worries me a little.

Huh? Oh right, I forgot there were two sorts of silver rupee. A few small ones worth the same as a blue one, and the ones I was thinking of: Giant silver crystals the size of Link, worth 200.

Nah, I just don't use Redstone much, and there is soooooo much of it!

Hmmm, I didn't know Notch was actually involved with the podcast. Guess I have to listen to it now! That does worry me, but it's not like that will STOP you from being able to barter.

EDIT: Aqizzar, is it pronounced Accuser, or Aqua-zar, or what?
