So here are the unlisted changes that I found, probably didn't find all of them:

-Small constant lag spikes, they seem to go away after a while.
-Wool is now a lot brighter and easier to discern from, say, solid rock.
-Creatures (animals and monsters) no longer seem to jump. Probably a bug?
-There is a lighting oval in first and third person view. Noticeable in the dark.

This is it updating chunks of the map. I think something about that was mentioned earlier.

Look, SMP is here!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

-
Let me Mine some Lag for you.
I mean, let me Lag some Craft..
Ah, whatever, I wasn't laggy before :(

[edit:]
Some random skeleton killed me beside lava and vanished. Half my items were destroyed.
I'll never do jokes about lag again, I promise.
-
uhh I think things are harder now.. I wasn't finding so many monsters in caverns.
Maybe I struck some resource-rich cavern (and it is), but this is crazy.
I lost everything.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

Yes Gabeux, now after the update the gigant cave system I mined into now suddenly is filled with skeletons and zombies.
The exact same thing happened to me, I was near some magma and a skeleton shot me and I fell into it and died, most of my items fell to the side though luckly.

Off topic: I love speech recognition

EDIT: Hmm it seems that my map did not save :( even though my character did?

Weird. My map saved alright, but when I loaded I was in the same location from when I exited...but buried 3 tiles underground o0
Hell, I did so much today..levelling mountains is tiring, but makes it look awesome.

I'll post here my the level visualizer 'refreshes'...I'll take screens everyday of the progress.

From Notch's blog:

So that's probably what caused the save problems. Should stop now.

Thats good then and I love how he cranked up the amount of mobs that spawn, the world was allways creatureless apart from the occational sheep for me no matter how high I set the difficulty.

I was about to buy this, when I noticed two things:
1. It seems to be paypal only. So I thought, okay, I'll make an account. Can't be that hard, right?
2. The paypal page is in Swedish(?). So how am I supposed to buy the game?

Look in the top right corner, it should say slovenska or something with an downward arrow next to it, click that and it should show you different languages to choose.

EDIT: typo I did not say room you damn speech recognition...

Most of you already know about this, but there is a REALLY good looking texture pack called "SMP's Realistic Texture Pack". It's a huge improvement over the original graphics in my opinion, if you guys want a new look to the game you should definitely try this out. It's easy to install and really gives a whole new vibe to the game. Sorry if it was already posted.

You can download the city build version or the realistic version. I haven't tried the city build one yet but I assume it's for the city builders.. heh. The realistic one is so far REALLY good looking to play with. And it even gives you a giant stone mallet instead of a stone sword. (Psst, most dwarves I've met have preferred hammers over swords)

Look at these. Gives an already beautiful game even more beauty.

Thats really cool looking.  :o I should check that out.

Gyro, one of my good online friends, is putting his own texture pack together with "all the good textures from all the other packs" though, so I might want to go with his.

I'll post his when he releases.
