im gonna go finish the other section of already built wall and work on constructing a magnificent gate/tower thing.

tentative gate and tower design, i dont know though, maybe its not epic enough, considering some statues etc.

Anyone have seeds for 1.72 to recommend? Seems like most of the top seeds list are focusing on the new biomes (Oh, look! Brown clay! Yay for fancy dirt! Oh, wow! Really tall mountains!) rather than actually playable worlds.

Best I've found so far is 574159740232942345, which has a desert temple/village pair near spawn with 10 diamonds. Which, don't get me wrong...that's nice, but the world I've been playing in 1.64 while it lacks free diamonds has a lot more stuff in general: three villages, two temples, several surface dungeons and lava pools all within +-500 of 0,0, plus it's close to a nether fortress with an abandoned mine and a second nether fortress not terribly far away.

I get the impression the new world generator is designed to be "realistic" or something rather than playable. Fewer structures, further apart, biomes seem to be larger, and it seems more difficult to get a good mix. I've seen a couple seeds that didn't even have trees within sight of spawn, and a few random seeds I've tried have put me on islands in the middle of nowhere.

My current seed (-4057357354724862808) has a lot of chickens, a cool desert, a savannah plateau, and a cave that leads to a mountain.

Am I the only one that noticed Minecraft doesn't actually update with new content, they just take things from popular mods?
