And then realize that most people won't be able to tell the difference between your subtly-encoded shades of color, and everyone will just dye everything black black black because its edgy.
Or red, because red is amazing. I, on the other hand will become FABULOUS!!

The one thing I see with having so many color choices is less of a "players can tell the difference between every single color" and more of a "the computer can tell the difference". Also without such a range how else would someone be able to make an army of steves in full leather that subtly shift from one color to the next.
On the map thing what I hope for and doubt I will get is what the hangable map mod did. The old and not updated mod let you place maps on the wall or the floor and it covered the whole block plus it made it so that maps would not overlap so you could have a giant map of the area around you. I should look through my videos as I have a nice example of it.

So how long this dinnerbone has veen part of mojang. I just heard of him few days ago. I heard he is going to remove fire spread limitations on harder difficulties, so I love him already.

I get the feeling that suddenly they had to wait for the Bukkit team to do something before they could work on behind-the-scenes stuff nobody appreciates the devs for, so they could go crazy on these little features for the first time.

Dying.
Fucking, finally.
Now I can dress my homemade Dwarf Fortress skin in pink armor, and terrorize my enemies. Friends. Frienemies.

I read that as "the act of being dead" and it seemed to fit equally well.

Dying is the active present participle of "to die"; dyeing is the active present participle of "to dye".

I suppose it won't be a problem if Minecraft wasn't so open to modding :P I don't think other online mmorpgs would be that easy to crack the invisibility information out...
They really are. It was a problem for almost the entire life of Planetside. The bottom line is that either the server sends the client location information on invisible things, which it must if you want any kind of effect (such as empty armor, floating swords, shimmers in the air, etc), or the server sends nothing.

If the server sends the information, then an enterprising person or persons can find it and use it. If the server sends nothing, then you get no effects.
Well, I've never seen Korean MMORPGs' invisibility information being hacked. It may be because they use sophisticated (= takes a long time to load and seems to do nothing) anti-hack solutions... >.>

Or maybe there's just no market for hacking invisibility in Korea.

Also, the more recent features seem to be stacking up towards a sum of Awesome. :3

Very likely it either hasn't been done due to lack of interest, or it has been done but kept in a specific group.

Korean gamers are SERIOUS.

Their hackers wouldn't give their toys to just anyone on the Internet, would they?

Just picturing a shady performance-enhancing-software deal going on in some Korean alleyway...
