You don't need Sci-fi for Turrets. Just Castles and/or crossbows bunkers.

This thread is boring. Needs more stories of creepers and manta rays, not silly redstone. Ugh.

Once upon a time there was a creeper who crept mightily, as any good creeper should. One day, while aimlessly walking around on a hill, the creeper spied a steve and exploded horribly, killing millions.

There were also some manta rays, but they were crap pilots and crashed just a short while after take off.

Today I was working in my laboratory area and I constructed an observation room off of my Thaumitorium. The subject of my studies was the spontaneous effects of unrefined Vis outside of a controlled system. To accomplish this I set up an arcane Crucible in the center of the observation room which was walled off with glass and floored with a layer of basalt brick over a layer of Obsidian. I constructed a pipe system by which I could introduce items into the crucible from a safe distance outside of the shielded room.

I initiated a Crucible overload by inserting several items which earlier experiments have shown to be highly thaumically charged. The Crucible broke the items down into raw Vis and overflowed onto the floor. The results of this were quite extraordinary! The liquid Vis formed several small discreet puddles upon the bricks. One such puddle ate through the flooring while another exploded in an unrestrained release of thaumic energy. Another puddle simply evaporated while a fourth spontaneously formed itself into a life form which I have tentatively named a Thaumic Slime. The small glowing purple creature hopped happily about the observation room and appeared to be consuming Vis from the crucible itself. It grew to a very large size before I was forced to terminate the experiment and flood the room with magma, lest it should break out and run amok in my laboratory! More testing is needed. I believe that such a controlled overload of the Crucible could result in a crystalline form of Vis which could act as a focus for other thaumic devices. I will reset the experiment and try again.

Heh, Thaumcraft is so awesome if you have Xie's mod, the hybrid seeds are really valuable in the crucible, and I end up with a double chest full of those every time I harvest my crops.

You can clone a Philosipher's Stone for about 40 hybrid seeds

Just use a fucking RS-NOR latch and a bunch of repeaters set up in a line. No need for multiple lanes of repeaters or something ridiculous like that.

Yeah, that's why I'll continue tossing them in the recycler like I have been, I just enjoy seeing how OP the Technic Pack is, it's like they didn't even try to balance it when putting mods together.

Forge does allow for a lot of cross-mod balance, it's just that a few completely throw it off

I started a new world with Mo'creature and Metallurgy mod, after digging a cave shortly before night I decide to explore a little bit, I got in a fight with a werewolf and after using 2 stone sword on it. It dropped a golden apple. then I started to expand my cave and at least 4 rat dropped in, they killed me and my respawn point was populated by 2 creeper and a spider.
Needless to say I raged.

How did you kill the werewolf? They require a gold tool to be killed.

They do not. Gold tools hurt them more, though.
