More millenaire shenanigans.
I clumb down the ladders in the upgraded abbey and guess what?
I heard cave ambience sounds.
I fled in terror.
I am not going to that place again.

Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons
When they start multiplying their numbers by will, you may need to resort to dumping water on them to freeze them solid. Throwing snowballs at them will only make them denser and stronger and overall bigger.

On a completely unrelated note.. I have decided to upload one of my worlds, it's nothing fancy built but..
I have been running around this desert, playing with TNT.. Lots of TNT..

I call this creation The Rocky badlands.

Unfortunately I have not taken any screenshots, but you guys know you can trust me.  :P

The reason I uploaded this? Because I was going to build stuff in it when it occurred me.. Someone else might want to play around with this. So Enjoy.  :D

Edit: By the way, there is a chest near the bed, a map is in it in case you don't know where to find this badlands.
It's the huge grey spot on the map.

I'm about to attempt to download buildcraft, millenaire, and the "too many items" mods... Question is, is there a way to tell if they are compatible? Do I have to download them in a certain order?

I was running all of those together before 1.8, they worked fine. I downloaded them in the order Millenaire, TMI and Buildcraft, you could probably install them in any order.

Buildcraft and Millenaire don't even modify the obfuscated classes at all.
It would be absurd to consider them incompatible.

TooManyItems alters one class that virtually no others (apart from ConvenientInventory, but TMI has special cases for that) do, so it should be just fine.

So.. what do you guys think of my.. work?
I am always making changes, blowing up parts of the landscape and even the rocky badlands itself.
But I have not updated the uploaded file.. yet. Maybe sometime in the near future, or next month..

Anyway.. i just want to know what people think.

Well buildcraft and millenaire use new blocks, they could have conflicting IDs.

Help....Buildcraft.......multiple folders.....me.....incompetent......bad youtube videos

Yeah so there are 4 download links to A and B and stuff and the only youtube video I can find I dislike.

Do I download all 4 links and then just copy and past it all into my minecraft.jar?

EDIT: also, minecraft forge isn't up to date with 1.8 Do I need it for buildcraft? The notes seem to say I do but obviously people have used the mod already.

Nope.  You create a folder named MODS inside your .minecraft folder, and put the 4 (or 5) zipfiles there.  Don't unpack them, don't merge them with minecraft.jar, just drop them into .minecraft/MODS .

As a prerequisite, though, you have to properly install ModLoader and ModLoaderMP.  If you're using the new forge-compatible one, you also have to properly install minecraftforge.  These all do have to be merged into the minecraft.jar .

Old Buildcraft, that is not forge compatible, is out for 1.8.1 but is considered unstable/testing:

Quote from: the Buildcraft thread first post
!!!WARNING!!! The 1.8.1 port is pretty much work in progress. Only the stable 1.X branch has been ported so far, which does not rely on the Forge yet. The 2.X beta release will take much more time. Even this "stable" release is provided with big red flags, for convenience. But it has almost not being tested, and in particular I was not able to run a functional server. So consider all the 1.8.1 based version as unstable for now, as a sandbox release, and be patient. Things takes time.

And you NEED modloaderMP? Because I don't plan on playing multiplayer with it.

The install instructions say you need it.  I presume they're right.

It's true of other mods, IndustrialCraft for example.
