What would you guys say is the best beginners server mod? Not to change gameplay, but to allow more commands for admins and such. Not looking for the ability to code signs to let you teleport (although that would be fun), just more commands like spawning monsters, looking into inventories, flying (that's a must), ect.

hmm... does Essentials do some of that?
More like plugins instead of just mods, though i don't know of any that look at inventories...

uhm, if I remember correctly, portal is free.
Portal was free, for a short time.
It is no longer.
Oh, well anyone who doesn't have portal is sad because they've had so many free give aways that it should be considered freeware like tf2, then again tf2 probably draws money from item shops and vip subscriptions or something now, maybe a required monthely hat wearing fee.

Yeah, I wouldn't pick portal either, but that's the bargaining chip I have right now. I mean, I also have a bunch of TF2 items, but that's about it.

Those lucky dwarves, despite the risk of being stabbed, shots, poisoned, eaten, mauled, enslaved, eviscerated or involved in accidents... at least they don’t have to worry about immediate dangers like the heat death of the universe.

Sadly, that post actually says the DATE of 1.8 will be released this week.
That is to say, They will be announcing when it will be released soon..

To depress you further, i think they said they were pushing some of the features back to 1.9

If I remember correctly, it's everything you saw at PAX is going in~
Villages will be in, but the actual NPCs are 1.9~

So we'll have all these pretty little houses and nobody to live in them? What's stopping us from harvesting them for souls materials? Or living in them ourselves?

Actually that sounds like a lot of fun.

Just think of it as ruins, similar to the actually ruined ruins that are also going in~
Alternatively, they have creeper spawners inside of them~

Right, well, my friend gave me his old minecraft account which he never uses anymore, so I guess I have the game now. Does anybody know any good seeds for a singleplayer world?

Raven Blade gives a nice island chain.
Renamon starts you in a fairly big desert area.
Yuuko started me by a cave where I had 2 stacks of coal and one of iron ore by the end of day 1

As is 404.

Thanks. I think I'll go with raven blade.

Also, this thread has reached triple sevens. How lucky is that?
