An Arena
« on: May 16, 2009, 11:38:51 pm »

You know what would be really awesome? An arena. Someplace to fight one on one against increasingly difficult enemies. It would be even better if the enemies carried increasingly better stuff. It could be a way to get some nice adamant items as well as fighting some worthy opponents.

I dunno but I would really enjoy fighting some swordmasters one on one.

You could try making one in fortress.  How 'bout that?  Chambers full of increasingly strong enemies, ending up with a chamber full of GCS's  :o.  Maybe a lever system to keep them apart.

I'm pretty sure I read something similar in the devlog, thing is there are so many bloats, power goals, goals etc. its hard to find. I'm pretty sure ThreeToe wrote a story centered around an arena too

Skeletal landcarp/ whales of doom.  Maybe a giant eagle for good measure (of course, this cavern would need to have height too).  Some Nopain animals could work too.

Not possible, animals die regardless if they're in cages, atleast for now.

So release them from their cages.

Preferably using useless nobles.

Oh, so regardless of whether they're in cages then.

I hope that's fixed.

They do but first you need to capture them as wild creatures, any tamed animal dies. Not to mention that they teleport in the process of abandoning, iirc but definetly not named w i l d animals.
