Much agreed.  That final vote change was just too suspicious for my taste.  It also increases the likelihood of flintus being a townie by quite a bit.  Therefore, I vote Beacon80.

Early this night, our reporter was traversing the
cold dark streets, when from the bushes, there
emerged a terryfing apparation, a drooling monster,
that set upon our reporter with a terrible intensity.
Our reporter attempted to make pictures of the
attack, but the monster was too fast.
  As he prepared to enter the celebrity mansion
in the sky, a bright light shone down upon him.
  But not a vehicle of god, coming to bring him away,
but a magnificant spacecraft, that sucked up the
foul beast into it's hold.
  This reporter will certainly be sending our alien
friend a share of the cash when he sells this story!

*the story is complemented by some fuzzy pictures of a spaceship with a vague figure underneath it. A caption reads; These are the worst pictures I have- the rest are my retirement fund!*

So yeah. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that masami tried to kill me, and org rescued me. I was already aware of the existence of a dopp seeker, so it was no great surprise. Neither was the getting attacked part, as the dopps have already proven how desperate they are yesterday.
Aaaanyway, beacon80 is obviously a dopp. See yesterdays oh shit guys a townie is voting a townie quick bandwagon so we win. So would all those in favour of surviving please vote beacon80

  Time crawls as you sit and stare at one another. The clock slowly ticks as the daylight runs out. Eventually Beacon80 rises to his feet and walks over to a window.

  "Let's just get this over with, shall we? We all know I'm a doppelganger. Our little gambit to shift the vote from Zai to Nuke was risky, but if it had worked you'd all be dead now. It failed, though, so it is I who dies today." He slowly turns around, his features shifting to his true monstrous form.

  "But there is still one of my brethren among you. And you do not know who he is. Nor shall you, until you feel his teeth at your throat!" He grins broadly, his large teeth glinting faintly red in the fading sunlight.

  Kashyyk hurriedly grabs up the rifle and snaps off a shot into Beacon's chest. The doppelganger slams backwards into the window and slides towards the floor.

  "You...cannot...win...humans..." he gurgles, before dying as Kashyyk fires another shot into him.

  You all let out a huge sigh as the monster dies. But you cannot help looking suspiciously around at the other survivors. There is still a monster hidden there, and you'll have to find him quickly if you're to survive this ordeal.

   There are only a few of you left to gather at the town hall today. Looking around, you see that inaluct is missing.

  You head off to his house, fearing the worst. When you arrive there, you find everything in order. He obviously wasn't killed here. However, you do discover that he had a large array of ninja equipment in his room, although some of it is obviously missing. Apparently he'd decided to use his abilities to become a Bodyguard for the town.

  As you walk back to the town hall, you spot a ninja sword sticking up from the grass in front of an abandoned house. The blade is red with drying blood, and there is a pool of blood on the grass. It seems he met his fate here.

  Time is running out. You must find the last doppelganger today, or you may not live to see tomorrow!



Ok, day 5 has Started! It will go until ~5pm pacific Friday. However, I may end the day early if everyone has voted and it doesn't look like anything is going to change.

Victory for the 'townies'

It has been a long and terrifying trial. At times, it seemed we
were doomed without a chance of survival. But in the end, justice
prevails. Kashyyk, Frelock, and I, we have pulled through. The
doppelgangers and their cruel creators will not threaten the earth,
but rather we, with what we have learned, shall make of the earth
a new world, one which can speak with the strange aliens that we
have met in our trials as equals.

Flintus caught red-handed

Taking the form of a trusted townsperson, this foul beast has been
found out at last. Last night, the vicious monster left his house under
cover of darkness, and slew and ate inaluct.
Our reporter did not have the opportunity to personally witness the
event, as he was engaged elsewhere- watching Frelock eat his dinner.

Our reporter checked afterwards and Frelock's dinner was definitley not
human flesh, but a last-meal style four course affair.
The Mudhollow Times knew both inaluct and Kashyyk to be innocent,
having had dealings with them both previously. Kashyyk proved his
innocence by letting our reporter speak to the departed webadict. And,
as the internets knows, only pro-town humans can be mediums.
Inaluct was of course responisble for the drawing of two doppelgangers
into a trap of fiendish design (see page 4 for more details), leading to
both getting lynched in followingdays. Therefore, we knew either Flintus
or Frelock to be the remaining doppelganger. Frelock's innocence thereby
proves Flintus' guilt.

technology, alien space craft, magical rites, and a fascinating tale of
treachery, murder, and, well internets!

Alright, I was checking for any sort of deceitful cunning on Nuke's part, thinking that he might be a dopp who betrayed his fellows just to get us to trust him, but I think my suspicions are mostly averted.  Beacon's quick voting for flintus still keeps me on edge, but I suppose it's the only way this will finish, and you two seem quite sure of yourselves.
