Dwarf genesis project stage one...
« on: May 13, 2009, 10:20:24 am »

Hello, first to explain what the dwarf genisis project is, its a DF event based 3d animated movie...that I will be making using blender and all that free time I keep getting.

Cast will start with seven dwarves, and follow misadventures and comic events common in DF, such as elven traders, goblin seiges, a dragon and a heavily damaged sock, and about anything else I'm willing to make.

So far i have a non detailed stock "Dwarf" shape and the remainder of stage one is to make seven individualized dwarves, wagon, mules and horses, ect.

If you have any sugestions or would like to give any assist XD its welcomed.

There are few things on this earth I love as much as DF and Blender.

I.e. count me in.

I'll post some screens of my work when I get to my home computer.  I would be cool to see some planning too. (script/storyboard/asset list/project wiki)

Awesome, i've been hoping for something like this to come along. I'm just getting started with Blender, imo i've managed some cool stuff, but i'm running out of ideas.

Gimme a model to design and i'll do my best to have it done by friday.

Wow!!! Those are really amazing...

Is it hard to use blender?  I'm familiar with 3dMax but I used it to do Architecture stuff... Is is similar?

Blender is really easy and fast to use, but only once you have the hotkeys down. It is similar to 3dsmax, and can import/export a bunch of other filetypes.
