I would like to remind everyone to PLEASE not damage the arrival shuttle, even if your traitor and such. Just not fun for players joining to instantly die.

Hmm, I'm thinking coding is needed. Why don't we give syndicates a name and ID card (assistant obviously)? In order to see if someone else was a syndicate they could have a red S over their character, sorta like in rev rounds. You could also change the color of their name when they talked over the radio.

Is it normal for the AI itself to survive an explosion that destroys the rest of its equipment? I didn't get any of the benifits of death like observe but all the downsides like lack of communication  :(

Johbson: Bring the server back up already :p

I have no idea what is crashing the server. I think it's BYOND. BYOND starts to bug when games get too complex, with too many variables and all. If we could reduce the number of variables, we probably could reduce crashes. (this is the reason why I want a rewrite in something else than BYOND)

Volator: The explosion most likely didn't destroy the enitire room, but only your power supplies.
(If it doesn't destroy your comms, you use a little of your backup power to call for help.)

Syndicate aren't really supposed to play like that, really.  If you REALLY wanted to, you could try to take someone's place stealthfully, but I'm pretty sure the MO of syndis are "kill everyone, blow up the station."

Anyway, if it's the code and not the map, I might consider porting the new map (and some of the current additions) into an older version of the code.  However, I don't think it's the code's complexity (the goonservers are probably even more advanced than us) but something added that's conflicting, and causing it to crash.

EDIT: Maybe it's the supply shuttle?  Didn't the crashes start around when that was added?

Trorbes: It could be the atmosphere optimization. But taking that out would make it very, very laggy. Thinking of it, the crash happened shortly after the AI room got destroyed, which caused a lot of air movement. Was there something like that for the other crashes, too?

Actually the syndicate is another corporation just like nanotrasen.  They just have less strict ethics.  Whatever gets them an edge over Nanotrasen, they'll do.  Killing everyone in sight doesn't always help them.


Also, the first time I see Johbson's server in months and it crashes in 15 minutes.   :(

I can put a server up, but I have a REALLY old copy of the code and map. Could I get a more up to date version of the two, or maybe the beta map to test. But I CAN put a server up!
