I'm having trouble connecting onto the server, which is odd since I managed to connect the first time, and then I changed game modes (no one else was on and I couldn't get off the shuttle) and it wouldn't reconnect.
Never mind.

For some reason, it always takes me a really long time to rejoin when the round ends, and it almost always takes a long time to rejoin if I leave.

Sometimes my connection just fails randomly when a game restarts.  It could be any number of reasons, from bad coding (the original code, not the BS12 stuff) to BYOND itself.

Edit: I'm building a new station. Come help.

Edit2: I'm reading Data's forums, and its the general section is pretty much a long list of "Admin Abusing, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!1!1!111!1!!!" Also, Nameless has taken over for admin applications.

Because we lack a dedicated server. Johbson kicks ass with it, but can't host indefinitely.

Got school/friends/family/other people on the same network/sleep to deal with most of the time. Plus I leave to visit said friends/family every weekend, which sucks for people who can only play on the weekend.

BYOND lags horribly for me.

.ping usually returns a ping of 2-3 seconds!   :'(

Anyone have any experience/solutions?

BYOND might be setting your network delay high for some reason.

Try typing in say ".configure delay 0

Then delete the say and space and quote mark.(For some reason you can't type it in right unless you do that.)  Then hit enter.  See if that clears it up for you.

Oh and if you want to amuse yourself tell it to set delay to -1

Was hoping this was it, but no good; still ~2.5 seconds of ping...

Any other ideas? I would love to play SS13
