If you choose port 0 it'll autoassign a port.

We dont actually have a server now that is capable of staying up, now that datas gone.

Trust me Jakkarra, this is the lesser of two evils in the long run. And again to reiterate you won't get immediately banned if you play on the goon servers, we just don't hold rp to such a high regard as you guys.

Eeh, i never viewed any of Data's misadventures for myself, so i don't know.

Still, we hold RP at an INCREDIBLY high standard here, as mentioned, it does keep us at odds with other versions and servers, but hey, We like our RP!

I'd host for you guys once I get a decent connection.  56kbps works for like 2-3 other people until it gets really really terrible.  I won't have DSL for a month probably at the minimum, but once I do, I'll let you guys know.

Hey all,

I'm not familiar with SS13 really, but I'm a huge DF fan (although I've never signed up until now...) and have been watching this thread for a bit.

What do you need to host SS13? What's the bandwidth reqs? I work with VPS (virtual private servers) quite a bit, and it sounds like it would be an affordable 24/7 solution. However the more affordable solutions are usually Linux based ;) but not impossible to get a Windows box... if SS13 can't be hosted in Linux.

Never played it, not terribly interested, but I've been watching this and Bay12 got screwed hard. I'd be willing to help out (donate towards a VPS) if that would work for you guys.

Who's in charge then?


(Oh... and as a *reasonably* unbiased observer... Data certainly came off as a narcissist at best)

He is the man who usually hosts the server, have a word with him, and we can work this aaaaaaaall out my good sir.
