Alright, question for everyone. If the wizard is successfully RPing getting his gear stolen by centcom, is it griefing to just outright kill him if he has done nothing at all except his job?

In my eyes, you don't kill the wizard until he is violent.
I might even start spawning myself wizard gear (no staff) and prisoning people who kill me.

There surely are people with a grudge against wizards on the station, so prisoning sure, but please only in game :p

The reverse is also an issue, often I try to be friendly towards the wizard but before I can finish saying hello, I am assaulted, blinded, and killed.

A solution could be to have a random event where a player is turned into a wizard, without any/many spells, at least no combat spells, for 10 minutes. Basically as a friendly visitor. That way, everyone learns that total hostility between crew and wizard is unnessecary. And with a friendly wizard occasionally coming, attacking a wizard for no other reason than that they are a wizard is metagaming and using OOC knowledge(because the characters now officially know IC that not all wizards are hostile). Of course, insanity and/or backstory can still be good enough reasons, BUT this only works if a player does not consistantly resort to it.

that would be nice, but yeah, concidering the attitude of current wizards and players It's almsot impossible to RP it without being turned into cream pie with a cream pie scroll.
