Hey all, I was interested in this when it popped up, but only had access to a Mac at the time (no go). I have recently fixed my PC, and can play now. Before I sign up and start, is there anything I should know, for instance what server we use, or things to watch out for, or whatever?

I recommend our server, obviously, and when you log on, click on the links to the guides in the message of the day. The guides are very helpful.

Ok. Going to be working on the map again, tell me what you guys want.

Also, server crashed, Ill bring it back up later, mainly because Byond is bugging again.

EDIT- Well, I'll just add stuff, since no one is saying anything. Hope you guys like what I plan to do. Going to be harder for traitors now, thats for sure.

You know, every time someone changes an avatar, it throws me off bad.

Anyhoo, has SS13 totally changed now? Is it like a totally different map?

Nah, I got lazy and decided to read Dwarf Fortress stories. I'll fix the map up when I get back on the good PC, AKA, the one I can host one as well.

Ok. Need some help here.

I did some map work, changed around quite a few things. Then, as I finish, I decide, "Hey, I should save this as a new map file. It might not work, wouldn't want to lose what DOES work, right?"

So I choose "Save as" And save the map file. One problem. It doesn't seem to read it as a map file. It seems to read it as just some normal file. What do I do? I don't want to do all that over again, it wasn't very fun.

EDIT- Fixed it myself. Never mind. Also, going to test this now, so, server is up, but you may crash and bug and die or something.

Can someone explain to me how turrets work? I placed some, hooked them up, did what I thought was right, but when I went to test them, it told me "Xcord, Ycord, Turret, is not in turret zone" or something like that.

EDIT- Heres the line of code, I found.

You need to put them an area (in the map editor), I the AI UPLOAD area is one.
Or you could make one and edit it's properties to defendable.

I removed the turrets on the grounds that they sucked. Almost had them working, though, which I suppose made me feel special.

Any ideas on what I should do now?
