i just got an account. are there any pages in particular i should look at? i'll be damned if i read the whole 199 pages.

Hidden on a single page there is a key to what I know not. It's origins a mystery to even the old one, it is a relic of some long forgotten existence. It shines with a color not comprehensible to Man's frail imagination, it's shape nonexistant yet still defined. To look on it is to invoke a madness of a thousand screaming voids, ravaging your mind with nothing and everything at the same time. If you value you sanity look away from this forum, forget what I have said and pray, pray it never unlucks the beautiful horror it was ment to.

Oh and Toady posted on page 104. :)

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

I would like to add that a randomized backstory would take ages to do right, and even then, I don't think its a good idea until we get more features for the game it's self.

For now, we should probably have a single backstory, which I can write too, if you guys want, but for our next update, I think Genetic additions would be the coolest. Going to need two sets of SE's, though, so SEa and SEb, I would guess.

Hm? Oh no, backstories for the station. We wouldn't want to make people RP something they don't want to.

Suppose it could work if you could "Enable Random Backstory" in the character creation sheet, though..

I've not got much on 'ol SS13, due to the stupid argument error I posted afew pages earlier. That, and I will be away for two weeks. Well, maybe I'll have internet.

The way I designed the icons was darkish green outline, green inside, and highlited green current part.

Only the blue had the 3D look.


Also, here is a tip for all future AI traitors:
An easy and blameless way to murder is close the toxins mass driver transport doors while the victim is in mid-tunnel.

They quickly suffocate and blame it on the new tech without EVER suspecting the AI of meddling.

(I discovered by accident, trying to see if they would go SPLAT if I closed the doors before they launched, but was a moment too late. The results were better than expected even if my experiment had sucseeded)

if your refferring to the icon i did, its exactly the same as the one i got given, apart from it being an Android/Gynoid.

what do you mean?

Jakkara, I like that icon, looks similar to the bot icon, yet simplified enough to look good on the HUD. Alright, I'll update my source and try to create a HUD for bots. I'd also need a battery HUD icon, similar to the health one, if you'd be so kind.

Also, here's a list of the current body parts:

Well, in fact, there are 10 health icons, each a different shade. I'd recommend you download the source (SS81-0.01.04_src.zip) and have a look at icons\hud.dmi

When you have the source, open the .dme in DreamMaker and hit "Build->Run" in the top menu. Also choose "Yes" to compiling the sources.

With all of qwerty's nice changes, I might also be going to host some time, so we can have a little game. We could have a hide and seek game, or something.. Or just hit each other to death to test for bugs with the blood. =)

To play multiplayer, you have to hit the Host button(usually in the bottom right corner). You then also have to make sure you are accessible from the net(if you have a router, you need portforwarding), and give us your IP along with the port you are hosting on.

I'm working on highlighting the body parts right now, so you don't need to do that :p
