Floirt, are you really going to separate the toxins lab from the rest of the station? If yes, are you going to separate other parts from the station too, or not? Also, for the mass driver transportation, isnt that too dangerous? I mean, the only way to survive that would be to have EVA equipment, and we dont want to give people other than heads access to free EVA stuff.

Mmmkay, maybe not a total seperation. Actually, mass driver transportation isn't dangerous, if you don't mind 1 second of cold space or so, if you get start and end to be oxygened.

Aaaaand it's not like EVERYONE will have access to the drivers. Plus, people can PUT INTERNALS BACK IN CLOSETS OR RACKS. I mean, damn, they should.

Maybe it isn't dangerous in the game, but think of it RP-wise: Who the hell would accept being thrown in space in everyday cloths at extreme speeds using a mass driver to send him flying to another station far away hoping that he actually enters through the relatively small door and doesn't smash into the walls near it and slows down enough to not smash into the walls of the room he enters into?

AND ALL THAT JUST TO GET TO HIS JOB AS TOXIN RESEARCHER EVERY DAY?

I don't think anyone would quite like that RP-wise, unless all Toxin researchers are insane maniacs by default.

Or a small shuttle.

Or maybe even an escape-pod-like thing that automatically moves to the Toxin station or the main station when somebody is in it.

If any of you ever played on the pre-goon map(s)...

There was an air tunnel in the north part of SS13. It even had automated atmosphere regulation and could be controlled with its own console.

Maybe you can use that...
It should be in the OpenSS13 version.

I think Floirt examined the air tunnel code before, I'm not sure whether he plans to add it to the current version.
