Magic gas gun = Flamethrower. I'm pretty sure that does a spray of gas, though only a line.

For the spreader. Yes if you don't weld the bomb, it just releases the gas, but only on one square. And it spreads horribly slowly. Easily enough time for someone to get away. What I envision was instantly spreading the gas to say a 5 square diamond or something. Would be interesting, but not sure if its viable.

Try a firebomb. Those spread HORRIBLY FAST. But that may just be an effect of pressure due to temperature, but whatever. Besides, have you tried loading a flamethrower with a gas tank, other than plasma? That should do nicely.

Boosting mass flow in vents: Let pressure build up, duh. Or hook up canisters directly.

I never managed to figure out how to make one of those.

Errrr. Just make a normal bomb, only you don't use the welder on it. Stop wikiing everything!

Oh those bombs. Yeah, they're my favorite type since they do long lasting fire damage. I thought you meant those chemistry ones.

Edit: And the only two things I ever wikied were how to start the engine, since its fairly critical and not subject to experimentation, and how to revive people with genetics, since it isn't obvious that those two steps will do it.

The chemsitry ones suck.  :P

Even with the right formulae, it takes ages, and you also have to screwdrive it too so it doesn't blow up in your hand because of stupid too short fuses. Not mentioning that it is too easy to dodge, and doesn't last.
If you're gonna go commando with a chemist, make choloroform and put it in the mop bucket of the janitor.  :D

Leaving beakers of formulas that are "just a little bit off" is also fun. People blow themselves up trying to get mustard gas or thermite.

Aaaaah, nothing like unexpected reactions, or so I guess.

But chloroform+mop combo is hax insta-kill, I mean, damn. Interstingly, I found that wandering the code. You're going to have a pretty hard time wandering around as janitor when being Chemist or HoR, through.

would anyone accuse me of metagaming for carrying around a syringe full of rejuvs? because i found a guy in a hallway almost dead (well i didnt know then so i injected him first then brought him to medibay for health analyzer), injected him with rejuvs, dragged him to medibay, and preped the cryo.

Sounds reasonable to me.  If medbay is fully staffed, but there's emergencies going on elsewhere, then anyone with any form of medical training might do that.

well i was the captian so i had access to them, but it wouldnt be considered metagaming if say an assistant asked for rejuvs just in case someone happened to be laying near death on the floor?

I think an assistant would be within rights, as long as he made an attempt at being an assistant -doctor- and not just 'freelance badass', and as long as he asked the doctors for emergency medical supplies and took 'no' for an answer...

Of course, why not just ask to be assigned as a doctor?

Hey, I once did the Freelance Doctor Badass thing on the B12 server. Fighting crime by day, sleeping at night. Mwahahaha.

thinking about it, a syringe of rejuvanators should be carried by everyone.
if i am captain, i think i'll order it. it could save one's life to inject rejuvanators before dragging to med bay.

if someone says he can't use the syringe, he is sent to med bay to learn.
