I say yes to the 4-part station only if its still about the same size of the current station. That's because we only get 5-10 players on at a time on average, which is already few for the current station. A larger station would need even MORE players.

Also, I prefer Floirt's idea even more. It's much more sci-fi-like if we have to move between parts of the station through space. Heck, have it 4 REALLY completely seperated stations, maybe on completely different maps. The command one would be the main one in the middle, the Bay Station 12 or whatever, with smaller ones farther away, with maybe other names. Also, each would have its own mini-atmos instead of one large one. This idea would probably also require more players than we currently have...

Also, the ultimate level this idea could reach: spaceship battles. Have certain pods have weapons, and LET THE CARNAGE BEGIN!

I seriously doubt that last idea is feasible, but hey, FLOIRT, GET TA WORK! :P

EDIT: Aww, the server isnt up now? :(

Oh my, I'm terribly sorry that Johbson first hosted the game when it was 12:15 AM here, then 11:15 AM, when I'm still in SCHOOL. I'll be sure to skip both sleep AND school next time :/

There is code and icons for an airbridge already in the source, as the original map's engine was only accessable via an airbridge.  If you wanted to get to the engine you had to extend the air bridge and regulate it's air.  It'd be neat to have something like that for each of the four sections.  I tried mapping something like that out once, but realized you couldn't seperate the bridge ID's via the mapmaker(This was back when we didn't have the source)

Also, Floirt ya want to see the destructive power of pods some time tonight?

Make your map if you like!  I'm unreliable and occasionally busy.  I was tossing an idea out there of "this might be pretty cool", but if someone else wants to run with it, that is -totally- cool with me.  Just because I might make something with that idea, doesn't mean someone else might make it better.

Certainly, you shouldn't NOT make your map because you think I'm going to make mine instead!  If we do that, then we probably end up with no map.  :D

i know this will sound Highly retarded, but how exactly do i MAKE a map? ill be able to learn the editor, but i just need to know where to Gate said editor.

incidentally, are there any Codingz involved? im going to wat to use the airbridges.

If you can get a copy of the source, you'll have the pre-existing maps that came with it.  You'll need to open up SS13 in the Dream Editor (which comes with BYOND), and once you've opened it, you can start by tweaking an existing map...you can't make a SS13 map without the SS13 files though.

I can't help much beyond that
