Hey all, I'm an avid watcher of these forums.

So. I tried entering the Bay 12 Station server, and was immediately banned.
I'm not a griefer in any way, and I'd like entry to the server and play with you guys.

Sorry, I can remove that, the auto-banner bans people for no reason sometimes, its quite annoying.

Any square with a space backdrop is treated as having zero air pressure and absolutely cold. In such a scenario, the mask is probably torn off your face without something like a space helmet to hold it on. Increasing the air pressure might work, but I've never tried it. I know for the medical mask it works inside but in low pressure because its pumping out far more then you need and so semi pressurizing the square your in.

Note for anyone who is going to use fire suits or space suits. Carry them in your hand until you need to put them on, and you will move faster.

Do we really have to go over this again? I was banned for faking a bomb...That i even got permission from the captian to do. I just cant see how thats greifing.

Ok, I've been thinking over all this for a while.


First up, we here all love Yanlin, but alot of people complain about him, too. Yanlin seems to ban people quickly, and his temper does not help the hurt party at all. I'm not too keen on the idea of removing Yanlin as an admin, at all, but I just think something needs to be changed, somewhere.

Second thing is, we need more admins. I trust most of the Bay12'ers, here, so if you'd like to be admin, contact me, please. I hate having to take down the server every day because I'm too busy to watch over 25 players by myself when I'm the only admin on.

Third, regarding until we have enough admins. Before you log out, if your an admin, check the adminwho list, to see how many are left online. If, when you leave, you'll be the last one, Or, if you are the only one, and you can't handle whats going on, send me a message on Byond, my account name is Johbson, this really helps me, thank you.

So that infinite pressure problem on the goon server with oxygen. Just happened again with plasma. Perpetual fires alternating with space tiles isn't fun.

Hmmmmm.  Is there ever a valid reason for a tile to have more than, say, 1000% pressure?  I'm wondering if the plasma mixing room ever has that much, or heck, maybe the engine with all that temperature.  Looking through the source, it appears that they try to handle pressure correctly based on mass and temperature...  so while I would LIKE to suggest a mod that caps pressure at 1000%, I'm not sure if that's actually viable.  If it is, a couple lines of code will prevent that from ruining the server.

Heck--now I wonder if the temperature calculations could be part of what's causing the problem.  The issue seems to happen when you get explosions at an outer wall...

I once got the pressure up to about 2000% in sandbox mode, but I was trying to do something a bit crazy there. 500 oxygen tanks all releasing on max in a sealed room, plus a welder and about 200 plasma tanks. Was curious if it would explode or just melt the station all at once.

Heh.  Sounds like we can just put in a line saying "if the pressure is over 2000%, chop it down to 2000%".  The pressure bug doesn't spawn infinite pressure forever, it just sets one tile to having MAXINT of a certain gas.  If that one tile only has 2000%, that's almost nothing!

Honestly, seeing as I have only seen it on the goon servers, I suspect Admin buffoonery. Given the deficit of quality admins, and Nannek's recent decision to run amok whenever he is on, it wouldn't surprise me. Plus the admins never seem to be surprised when it happens.

Your destroying your means of escape. From an IC perspective, blowing up your only way off the station is stupid.

Ok, first off the Bomb was not big enough to destroy the ship, Second I had gear ready to survive in space incase it somehow destroyed too much.

It doesn't really matter. Even a tiny bit of damage could stop it from leaving the station, and pressure precautions don't really matter.

Well, can't you blow up the ship and then kill everybody within the Space Station? If you are the last person left, you can then wait for some other ship to stumble upon your ship and then save you. It would be just like Gulligan's Island!
