Blowing up the escape shuttle hallway is fine, and even normal to prevent others from escaping easily. Arrival shuttle hallway is a no since there is nothing else of importance down there. Genetically mutating yourself is fine.

The objective was to leave the Station ALONE in the shuttle killing everyone else before it took off was the objective.

I did not bomb anywhere near the arrival shuttle.
No I was not banned before for griefing it was for talking in ic in ooc on my first day playing the game.
The Bomb wasnt a huge bomb to blow up the whole shuttle either.

Perhaps it should say the Bombing either shuttle isn't allowed if your gonna get banned for it as traitor.

Edit:I just joined the server and clicked ready it seems someone has dumped N20 in the arrival shuttle.

Your destroying your means of escape. From an IC perspective, blowing up your only way off the station is stupid.

SS13 is a very fun game, however, there ARE a few simple gameplay mechanics that im sure people arent aware of, im not saying to spoiler things, but id suggest posting anything you know that could be used by newer players;

for example;

How to not die in the event of an airless environment: but still pressurised

Step one, secure an oxygen tank or jetpack.

step two, secure a gasmask or medical mask (medical mask is choice as it dosent mess up your vision).

step three, place Gasmask or medical mask (NOT sterile mask) on your mask slot.

step four, take oxygentank/jetpack and double click on it when in your hand, this will bring up a screen, press the hyperlink-looking "restore gasflow" to initiate Oxygen provision. (this will not work unless you are wearing the masks previously mentioned).

Step five
, either hold the tank in your hand or place it on your back slot, replacing the Backpack.

step six. enjoy the oxygen. (note, it is finite)

GAHHH SO MANY PEOPLE WHO CAN'T DISTINGUISH BETWEEN "YOUR" AND "YOU'RE".

*headdesk*

Me I'm still wondering if someone can look into Kholhaus's issue...

Jakkarra, your advice is mostly good.  Here's some comments:
- Oxygen tanks are often hard to find.  You can sometimes find them in emergency cabinets but usually not after the first five minutes.  You can find air tank dispensers in engineering I think, in atmospherics, in some other departments--useful only if someone blew a hole into them.  I think there's also one in the artificial earth in servers that use that though.
- Jetpacks are only present in EVA, which nobody can get into unless something has gone horribly wrong.
- I think that medical masks are not ideal.  You only draw half your air from the medical mask I think, and half from the atmosphere--that may be different on some servers, but it is NOT enough to protect you completely if there is no oxygen at all, or if there's tons of CO2 out there!  It might be the sterile masks I'm thinking of though, in which case Jakkarra is actually right, so never mind...
- If you have an air tank, but you can't find a mask, look in the maintenance hallways outside the station (near where solar is...north or south side of the station).  Those hallways USUALLY still have both gas masks AND fire suits well into the match!  Bonus!

You're = you are

your = owned by you

for kolkhaus, you will require a correct name (like john Smith) not a random name, like "badgerman" many servers hate this.

also, you may also note that some servers are elitist, you want to go on one with a few people, 10 is good, more is always cool.

anything else?

for example;

How to not die in the event of an airless environment: but still pressurised

Fixed it. Medical masks are second rate compared to gas masks, unless you have a space helmet on. Gas masks have a much higher pressure retention rate then medical masks, making them better for working around holes to space. If you only have access to a medical mask, and really need to go through a zero pressure area, turn up the gas flow a couple hundred or even to a thousand.

meh, im usually a researcher or doctor or similar, if im any type of guy who needs to do more than survive for a couple minutes in a C02 filled lab or corridor, i just steal a spare Spacesuit.

itl be nice if there was a way to get Unlimited air for the suits and that.

anyway, just grab a space-helmet if you need pressureness, best of both worlds!

Space suits and helmets are generally off limits. Aside from the fact that there are only 6 complete suits, there remains the fact that it is a sealed area that only the captain and AI have access to.

Fire suit and gas mask are a good second rate to a space suit though. Fire suit protects against cold and you can just dial up the air release to a thousand which won't alleviate the problem but will help.

My issue is actually joining the Dorf Fortress BAY 12 STATION server, I'm banned before even using it. Hmmm.

What ISP and vague geographical location are you?  Some of our admins are newbies to the whole 'administration' thing, and may have gotten a little overzealous with a siteban on someone else.  I'm sure it'll be easy enough to sort out.

Hmm.  I never knew for sure that this would do the trick, but it's good to know!

I've always wondered what -exactly- goes on when you step out into vacuum and your O2 alarm goes off, while you are still wearing a gas mask.  I always imagined that it was more of a "your body is depressurizing" but apparently not.  So the issue is that, in a very very low pressure environment, it can't keep enough pressure on your face at a release rate of 100?  Dialing it up to 1000 will actually let you keep breathing?  I mean the cold is a real issue, but...
