Its something about a hole to ignite the plasma. So much doesn't make sense in this. How did you get it to 100000 degrees anyway? Prototype engine?

Edit: For the record, a bomb that hot could be considered griefing even if you are the traitor, cause it can crash the game or at least destroy the whole station.

You have to use a welder on the timer/igniter/plasma tank assembly to complete the bomb, yeah.

Also, a fun thing to do when there's a major plasma leak in one of the main hallways is to shout LOL GRIEF and run into the plasma with a lit welder.

Throwing it tends to be more survivable. Stun rods, gloves, and tasers should also set it off, but I don't think they do.

So I'm getting reports on the various drama going on in here.  What would you like me to do about it?
I guess I'll just warn anybody who's been arguing at all the past few days, since I certainly don't know what the hell is going on off somewhere else and I'm not about to read 1000 posts to figure out.

No offense Ryu, but:  People, why are we dragging random people into these forums?  I mean, this particular board is a board about other games, but the SS13 and the Haven & Hearth threads seem to be full of getting random other people onto our boards and then arguing with them.  It's a bad trend.  At least point the newbies at Dwarf Fortress so they don't have ALL their posts in one thread in the "other games" board, because that just seems weird.

As for the "interact / don't interact with AFKers", in my experience RP kinda falls into three camps depending on game style.  In a very RP heavy, action light system, that is not particularly realtime, you wait for the AFKers if you were involved with them, and if they weren't involved in your scene, yeah, you avoid them--because it's reasonable that even if their avatar is in the room, their character isn't there at the same time as your RP is going on.  In action-light RP heavy systems that are time-critical, you kinda have to make excuses for the AFKers, and if they're important to the setting, maybe you emote for them because their character wouldn't really be mute.  SS13 is neither of these.  Instead it's action heavy and realtime.  It's not like a MUSH where if one person goes AFK, well, okay, they aren't taking part in the conversation maybe their character stepped out to the bathroom, or maybe they weren't really there at all.  It's realtime, you're all on a station that's probably going to blow up, everyone IS in the same scene and you can't pretend they're not.  That's the difference, that's why you can't just ignore someone.

Ah, Sowelu. are you never not wise? ;D

Anyway, that problem was just a jumble of misunderstandings, which lead to anger, which is never nice. So.. Everyone calm down, unless its just me, this game has a knack for making people angry, at everyone.

Also, sorry about not having the server up, my PC was acting up a little bit, its all fixed now, though. I'll get back to my slave mines hosting our server now.  ;D Should be up as soon as you read this.

We've.. had more then our fair share of problems in this thread, that's for sure. Don't think there's anyone here who hasn't flipped out at some point. As I mentioned above, this game *does* have a knack for making people angry, so much so that I was going to recommend everyone we all take a break for a while, but it seems that even after one day of the server being down everyone's already ready to host a different one.

All I know is that I seem to be miserable more and more, everyday.

I sent out a few warnings.  None of them really rise to the level of being muted next time.  Just some reminders about the rules.  Except for justgoaway1 or whatever his name is.  He's been banned.  There might be others that deserve it too that I didn't notice, but a non-trivial portion of his posts in particular were way out of line.
