Well then. You're a bad scientist.

REAL geneticists don't experiment on themselves.

WHAT THE HELL? OFCOURSE THEY DO!
(Atleast, the completely insane mad scientist geneticists who are after gaining super powers do. Since he tried the thing on the monkey and succeeded in making it strong, he would automatically want such powers for himself.)

No. It can't happen. Considering that, RP wise, Cent Com selects who comes on board the station. Except the traitor maybe.

Would Cent Com send incompetent scientists to man extremely important jobs when there is no shortage of skilled scientists?

Case in point.

While I do agree with this, it's sort of amusing how they do take people with chronic coughs, epilepsy, stuttering and short-sightedness.

Mainly because these diseases can be easily treated.

well, at least could i test X ray, fire immunity and telekinesis?

i think many people would take these things for themselves.

No proper geneticist would use HIMSELF. They'd use another willing human subject.

Then why not treat them before embarking?

Seriously, it can be RPed properly. Scientist unwilling to risk others, risks his own life to test his new super serum. I mean lets face it, why would Cent Com allow the scientist to experiment on any of their "highly trained" personal? He was merely dedicated enough to try the serum out despite regulations to the contrary.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

hey, i test on myself only things that are 100% safe. if a person had the opportunity to get a non hulk power like the ones you can get in SS13, i think many people, geneticists included, would take it.

The first time you tried it it didn't work and you RP'd you were feeling sick. A real scientist would not inject himself AGAIN.

a bit sick was normal due to radiation.
but i knew, i was 100 % sure, it wasn't a disease. i made good tests on monkeys.

I see this as Dwarf Fortress in space. Seriously, in a standard game you get a few psychopatic murderers, a malicious AI, a paranoid captain, engineers who choke themselves because they can't tell a pipe valve from an external valve, and people who try to beat themselves to death with an ID card.
