Hopped onto this game for the first time after hearing about it today. Fun. Complicated, but fun. There's still some lag which is kind of irritating, but it's not too bad.

Thanks to Orb and Cecliff for putting up with my questions, and everyone else for not making fun of the n00b.

Yeah, we'll be getting rid of the lag.

Anyways, I'd like to ask people what their opinions are about merging parts of the goon code and such, I've heard a few people dislike the icons, among other things, and I just want to get the community's thoughts.

I don't really care about the icons, there is nothing wrong with the ones we have, but if you want to use the new ones, doesn't matter. As long as there is no poo or stuff, and we keep having rp admins (as opposed to deathmatch), it's fine for me. What I would really like to see is a roboticist (robotocist? roboticer?). One with basic routines like "clean floor - move forward - if wall turn left, else repeat". But that's probably quite hard to code. An alternative is what I think is the goon code (only played it once, so I'm not sure) with a set of pre-programmed robots you can build. Even coolerer would be to build a robot that can be remote controlled, via the computer in robotics. Of course, in that case, the bridge would have a robotics killswitch. Those RC robots are basically NPC's which are sometimes PC's (when someone logs in to the computer) but are tougher, more resistant to cold, and need no air. Would be very usefull if, for instance, there is a hull breach in EVA, or plasma lab is infected so the robot can siphon the stuff, etc.

Also, because I'm just curious, do you have any plans regarding the space where the AI used to be?

I must say, many of these new sprites are extremely spiffy. Sleeper looks ossum =P

Are the player models any good? We could remove the directional stuff right?

EDIT: Someone was talking to me 2 tiles away for like 5 minutes and I didn't get a single message. something is wrong. There was no table between us.

Guys. Here are the recent problems because of updating goon sprites:
Temp appears again spamming temperature
Can't hear anything sometimes from people that are a few tiles away.
Tasers invisible
Beer invisible
Oh my god they sabotaged our servers! Guys everyone download their codes and look for hacks in it! GVAZ LEAD US OH WISE ONE!
I ain't actually wise, I just knew something is wrong with goonifying our servers. And it leaded us to huge amounts of problems, unfinished sprites, and goons are now getting used to our B12.
EDIT:
I see the sprites have been fixed. Thank god for that.
Now let's hope someone fixes the 'enchanted' table and the speaking problems a few tiles away.
I can't wait to play, but I'm banned.
EDIT2:
At least the server is private now.
Good thing to know.  :)

Yes, I know that is true.
However, those some I cannot see. I am only talking about those many goons...

My opinion on the sprites ----> I dont really like most of them, but I do like the ones for the siphons and canisters. Those have a lot more detail. I miss our Bay12 doors.  :'(


I havent seen too many of the sprties, but the really detailed ones I would like ot keep. Maybe the uh...what are they called, eh "mounted communication devices" we may want to keep too, though it doesnt really look like its on the wall....eh.

Having the door change image when electrified means only people who don't know the image changes will get electrified now... and no one will ever get electrified a second time...  :'(

Strange.. I think (personal opinion here) that those are some of the only bad sprites lol.

But I do like our old doors :(
