For the record, the only way to get the source is to take an old copy of SS13, code something awesome, then show it to Dr. Johbson.  After he approves, take it to Qwertyuiopas, Sukasa, and Googleplex.

It's the original map, or at least close to it, with assorted modifications due to new stuffs. I ported it over onto a copy of Lorden's code because the Penny Arcade people fear change (and the goonstation station was massively oversized for our usual player numbers), and that somehow made me qualified to be the PA group's codemonkey.

Crazy question, now, I'm no programmer, but is there a way to add a "random map" functionality there? Or even just add a list of choosable maps, so it's a different space station all the time, or at least sometimes. Note that by "random" I mean "choose randomly from a small list of pre-made maps", Making it make truly random yet functional would probably be a crazy proposition.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure Qwerty was working on a system that would take small "rooms" randomly (making sure they have all the important features!), and connect them randomly to make a complete, workable station, with atmos + networking +power.

Are you kidding? It stretches my suspension of disbelief already that nobody needs credentials to take jobs like 'Station Engineer' or 'Advanced Geneticist'. Now the crew won't even know the layout of their ship?
