How about the station is filled with heating pipes, which all lead to atmos, and a main heater, and let the atmos tech have control over fixing the pipes and stuff. If the pipes are destroyed, heat is lost from the area. And if the main heater is hacked, it can flood rooms with lethal temperature, but slowly, and alarms start to go off about it.

Ideas go.

If you gave them a biome then the Elves may indeed start turning up with Wagons in cages.
Well, it does tie in to the fact that personality-wise, dragons are nothing more than gigantic, scaly, firebreathing cats.

Because then the HoP would be utterly pointless.

We do have that engine floor section in atmos. That could be utilized.

Since i am unable to register for a bug report acount [it never sends me a email]
Here are some bugs:
-Engine network is not connected to the ai by default [you can hack SOME things, but others you can't]
-New plasma research area has the same problem... and there are likely more network problems around.
-Digital valves can't be accessed by the AI

-bodies create infinite blood when dragged.

OH GOD THE WHOLE STATION IS BLOOD.
If I noclip as a corpse, will it do this?

-networking went from having 2-3 deadzones to not working at all... [with hacking not working 1/2 the time as well]
...the ai is broken. [i mean the local hardline is broken]

Well normally you don't drag corpses....maybe make a body-bag or use a closet?

It might be effective if corpses had a limited amount of blood. As is, you must use a container, or any murder investigation is open and shut (in that it actually is a murder investigation, because the guy is floating around in space).

Did the server just die, or is it just me?

Or make it like a second engine that generates heat and pumps it through the station.

Yeah, I like the idea of an engine-like setup for generating heat which is then carried all the way through the station. It would certainly give atmos more interesting things to do if they had to manipulate the mix of gasses/pressure to maintain a steady heat. However, it poses some problems as heat transference would mean that rooms/corridors near the start of the loop would be stupidly hot, and by the time the heating mixture reaches rooms/corridors at the end of the loop most heat would already have been lost so there wouldn't be a way to balance it.

Instead you might want super insulated pipes running around the station in a loop, fed by the engine-heater in atmos, and then each room and parts of the corridors have their own mini loops fed from the main insulated pipes. These mini-loops would be regulated by valves which could be used to set the desired temperature, or amount of gas to allow through depending on how easy you want it to use them.

Alternatively, just regular under-floor heating elements powered by the main power grid would work, but be less awesome (though less subject to tampering or just not knowing what you're doing)

Perhaps making all the regulator valves able to be controlled from atmos, so they would'nt have to go wondering all around the station to change valves.

Sure, could hook it up into the network code. Actually that'd be awesome... cause truly, there's not much that says evil AI than it bolting all the doors then turning the heating up to meltyourfaceoff degrees Celsius.

So, as a reminder, theft =/= murder. Also, Theft does not mean you can kill the thief.
