And whats the longest? I hope its dwarf fort related. And yea, im against a new thread this ones got some history behind it it appears

Funny thing is, is that ive only read about 200 pages of this thread, the rest is a mystery...ooo...

Also, for simplicities, just make it possible to combine gloves and a "mini PDA". The mini PDA is 1/2 the size of the original and doesnt have a strap. You use a screwdiver on it, then use it on some gloves, and presto, you have a PDA/Gloves. They would be found in toolboxes, instead of those useless fire exstinguishers(which can be found everywhere else), or those useless station bounced radios, but they may be usefull for people who dont have a headset.

Concidering only engineering and the HoP should have gloves on, this shouldnt be a problem. Anyone else just doesnt want their fingerprints on stuffs....

Also I don't really care about what thread we have. Actually I like having this one cause we're nearly at 700 pages and that's awesome.

Should I merge the buildable pipe branch into the master?

I have merged the master into the pipe branch, and the only remaining change is the dreaded filter update, where all of the countless filter variations where only the name differs must be updated to have correct p_dir, and it would be nice to get it all together before someone edits the map...

I have been continually editing the map...  this will be fun x_x

The problem is that I don't think git can merge the map files.

The fix I need to do is basically altering every pipe instance to have a correctly set p_dir.

I can get most of them done fairly quickly, except the filters, as they are consistantly named different things, so rather than editing an instance and affecting all of them, I practically have to edit each one.

I managed to get the branches to combine.

Hopefully, no map conflicts arise before I get home later today.

When I do, I'll add a compatibility mode that restores the old "set the p_dir in /New()" functionality, but it should default to off, since altering the p_dir in /New() ensures that run-time map loading will not work either, and allows mappers to continue to rely on it to ensure that the pipes work.

I have updated two of the maps to set p_dir properly, the main BS12 and  some atmospherics one. On the old code, the p_dir will be overwritten, and on the new one, it will function as well as it always has, so the changes should not be noticable.

If you *must* overwrite the map, I can tolerate updating it again...

Eh, it just hangs on connecting, but never says it's failed.
Also, though I realize ye coders are coding important stuff, it'd be nice if when you press R to select a random name, it randomizes everything else too.

Hm, I appears I crashed last night. Sorry guys.

Ok, Googolplexed gave me some new code yesterday, it probably isn't the newest but I don't know how to work whatever system you guys are using to get files around, so I should have a (public, its early in the morning, we won't get many people anyway) server up momentarily.

EDIT- Turns out I forgot to download it when googoplexed sent it to me, and I've lost the link. Alright, whatever, Ill use what I was using last night.

Server is UP!

MOREEDITS- There is a very, very bad bug, if one tries to eject the engine from the bridge, the console disappears, and then you can't cancel it leaving. If there was also a console in the engine, it also disappeared.

qwerty: The non-bay 12.. maps are just ones I've been doodling up in order to get better at mapping and just add stuff for....  "later".
