i have a feeling that somethings wrong server side or the code and that the crashing isn't intentional. of course this is just a feeling.

What sort of versioning system have you guys set up for the code by the by? SVN/Git/Bazzar? I hope not the latter, I had extreme difficulty with that the last time we all tried to get a version control system up, though perhaps it was mostly due to CIBs laptop being off a lot.

Are there any ideas about what's causing these crashes?

Hell, I'm all for gay rights, but an actual ban for that? I'd never say the word personally, but is it a slur on the level of the n word? I don't believe so... But it's your call.
