Uh... when was it changed that if you throw an object in space, you keep going the direction you were? I died because of that, I figured if the traitor DID manage to get me into space, i'd just throw my way back to the station. Apparently not.

Depends on mass and speed. You being thrown out is a lot of mass plus speed, and almost anything you throw will not be as high as that.
