Hey, I'm trying to mod the version of goonstation I got, it seems pretty easy. I shaped the spawn point in a B12 sign, added a gaming kit to the arrival shuttle, moved a door in Toxins, and did generally not useful stuff. I haven't tried messing with the code yet through.

We may be able to differentiate us from the goons somewhat more.

EDIT : I note that I'm not in that admin list. May I inquire why? After all, since you are flaming me, Yanlin, you seem a little distrustful.

The one time you were admin, you rezed yourself then starting performing experiments or something. That kinda falls under admin power abuse.

...moved a door in Toxins...

Why am I feeling we might not like all the changes you make? And why am I also feeling you might make a few 'secret' changes us others wont know about until its too late?

Well, I could make the map and someone could add the wiring system to it. I have no\ idea how to route the power and stuff. But I can do everything else.

I could easily create a decent station design. But not the actual map. I can tell you where everything should be.

Hint: Notice how you generally bump into walls while going through Goonstation? That's a GOOD thing! It often times has a wall bump near to a destination. Such as medbay or the escape shuttle hallway.

Hell I love the design. Keep it. Forget making a new map. Put credit where credit is due.

Yes, the map is good as it is. However there are a few changes I would like to make(security, chemlab, ect) that would be benificial to the players.

As long as the rooms stay in the same place, I'm happy with any beneficial changes.

As long as we give credit where credit is due. Who crated the Goonstation map? We must say "Based on Goonstation map by *Creator of Goonstation map*"

dont forget security cameras....ive played plenty of maps where the I had to take ridiculous paths as the AI just to veiw the engine room, and once in the engine room had to be careful not to go out or you would have to do everything over. and opening the camera selection box all the time is just annoying

also include enough items for everyone.its horrible when you just joined and cant find a toolbox, gas mask, or crowbar.

Try to keep mid-game joining players from being trapped in the spawn by a power outage or malevolent AI.  Airlocks are important, but if you have to go through one to get from spawn to anywhere at all, you're hosed.  Also, yeah...masks and air tanks in conspicuous and well-traveled locations are good.

That's what I'm saying. Make it public. I want Bay12 games to go public and be happening around the clock. Drop in, drop out.

We have a large admin list. Odds are, one of them will be in the game. If not, the people being griefed/witnessing the griefing can report the culprit to the admins. We will send them to the banhammerer.

If we wanted to make it public, thats easy, I can do that. However..If we want to have it open 24/7, We need a dedicated server, I believe, if the internet has taught me anything.
Or I could just host it on my spare PC that I never use..Never need to turn it off, either..That would work too, I guess..

Oh, and Floirt, I keep hearing that you've "Abused your powers,' but I haven't seen anything myself to say that you have, but, PM me and we can talk.

I viewed the code last weekend. It's not THAT illogical and convoluted. The main problem is finding all the calls - Dream Maker doesn't track them in any way. For someone accustomed to environments like NetBeans or Visual Studio, searching the entire code can me a major pain.

It can be modded, given some time and patience. I can try when I'm done with my master's exam.
