I'm having trouble reconnecting, so I'll probably take a bit of a break, go do something else, and come back and see if the game's still up later tonight.  I HAVE been fixing some of the bugs reported, and I'll do a bit of work on the station tomorrow.

What happened to the good old extended roleplaying rounds, where the administrators were fair, and the players all just wanted to play a good round?

What happened to all the good bay12ers who were truly dedicated to the good roleplay, and admins who thought out their moves and didnt seemingly support such disastrously destructive rounds?

Since when did all these idiot goons get to play here, and wreck the rounds.

Where did all of these horrible errors and bugs come from, that disable entire workstations?

Wish i knew, but i figured id just get that off my chest.

The reason im saying all of this is because bay12 was the last place to go.

There is NOWHERE ELSE even remotely capable of supporting roleplaying, and this server seems to have gone down the drain too, witch almost makes me feel like crying.

I still think about all those awesome rounds, but that seems like years ago now.

Quake, actually we had such awesome rounds yesterday. 5 players, all of them great roleplayers. It didn't even matter who was Admin and who was not because there was no need to enforce any decisions. But then the goons joined and it got all messed up.

You can't just ban them because they're idiots. You can only ban them when they do something stupid, and they don't do that all the time. Most of the time, they just fail to contribute to the game. Going to host a private server now.

Map glitch: the game is hardcoded to have Z-4 and Z-5 as (optionally)empty space, that you float to randomly if you leave a map border. Because Z-5 is missing, you often go to a nonexistant area rather than properly floating around.

Quake, a few points.

One, when I said we need to get him off. I try to help the traitor/whatever, especially if they seem new/ish to the position. Its no fun for the rest of the station if the guy gets brigged/spaced/executed in the first 5 minutes. So yeah, I cheat in favor of the one guy against 15 others.

Two, we are currently bugfixing and tweaking the map. It isn't set in stone right now. So when you see admins teleporting around and clipping through walls, that means we are trying to either fix things that broke this round, or make things better for future rounds.

Three, we attempt to welcome everyone. We periodically clean the ban lists to give people a second chance. I think we did this with the new map. It will get better.

Edit: Server has either extremely odd bug, or its a radation storm that spawned wierd. Seems slight increase in oxygen kills, and extremely rapidly.

I think the breathing code has to be rewritten. It is supposed to do oxygen percentage-95 tox damage. However, the oxygen percentage seems to be raising over 100%.
