What about the PA's? They have a bit of our code, and last time I read their thread, it was having problems too.

I still think there is some wonkiness regarding the engine. Not sure what, but everytime it crashed, someone was doing something in there.

Oh, and i found that Squeegy plays the game. i saw him online last night.

Yep, unless its a different Squeegy than the one I know.  He played more about a year to a couple years back.

Also you guys need to host more, you're almost never up when I'm home.

hmm... well, when it crashed, i had just exploded the engine trying to toggle damage on myself ( i had to hop around the z levels to collect people who misused the teleporter) and probably i was going to explode it again while trying to toggle no damage on somebody else.

oh well, lets do a good test... i can host for 11 hours now. i take server up and we see how much it last. everybody in. if it last more than 6 hours, then it is enough for me to call it success and blame johb's computer.

starting time: 13:00
server: UP


edit: ok, server crashed when we tryed to send back supply shuttle with 1 monkey, 1 player monkey and 1 player who hasn't started the game yet. that hsuttle should be removed

yes, shuttle seem to have problems. is there any easy way to remove it?
so that we can have a working server soon?

edit: is there anything sure that causes crashes?

I had sent a test patch that disables the code that actually moves the shuttle to Johbson. I didn't expect someone else to host...

we are currently doing tests. first, we tested shuttle empty. then we tested items. no crash yet. next, players, then monkeys. last, shuttle half-destroyed.

edit: i haven't tryed destroyed shuttle, but everything else didn't work. maybe it is a matter of quantity? anyway, i feel safe enough to start hosting normal rounds. i won't play, but you people don't call supply shuttle

I sent Andrea the files, but I dont think he knows how to work them, so Ill add that code in myself, Qwerty, and then I will host until it crashes again.

Also, Andrea, there are many more problems, and the supply shuttle is already rarely called. I was just proving that I could crash the server in 15 minutes via normal gameplay.

Some might now believe that it is my computer, and although that can make some sense, the Penny Arcader's, who use parts of our code, have been experiencing problems as well. I'll be reading their forum about it momentary to check the status. 

Monkeys can still not remove their own backpacks, and if you would like to know what I did the exact second the server crashed, I just began to pull Space Bear.


EDIT- There, I read their forums a bit. http://forums.penny-arcade.com/showthread.php?t=89006&page=21 if anyone else wanted to.

well, it seem it is crashed again, so yesterday was pure luck it seem.
unluckly, i don't know what happened when it crashed, since i was at lunch. oh well.. here ends today's server.

Server has been absolutely wretched lately, captain wants to solve everything with plasma and bombs, and the rest of the crew isnt even there.

i wasn't serious when i said i would solve everything with plasma. but everything CAN be solved with enough plasma, that is true.

i just wanted to say to AI that i would have like to bomb it... maybe a bit too direct.

edit: got too many complaints today. i will host as non admin, so at least server can't be blamed for whatever i do.
