You need a single port to be forwarded, then input it in the dream daemon interface.

I'm learning C++. I don't know much yet but I'd definitely like to help once I'm a bit more expierenced.

Well, the issue is that we either go 2D, or need OpenGL or DirectX...

Of course, as it would be client<->server, only the client needs rendering or anything.
The host would simply connect to localhost as another client.

And networking...


Better to think of these things before something starts, in case it stops the project after significant effort has been done.

I would suggest just keeping the graphics the same and porting the internals of the game to C++. Then if it works ok, making it super sexy awesome.

the AI uses three intercoms to communicate.
Really, nobody uses the other channels, and most people don't even know that the AI has multiple channels either. Last time I played syndicate our channel was 145.7 and nobody knew that the AI could hear that channel, idiots. Needless to say we lost horribly. Also, nobody notices when the AI switches every intercom to its own channel and puts the microphones on and the speakers off, the AI can easily listen in on everyone in the station as such.

Those 3 intercoms are ridiculously important. I can use them to eaves drop with intercoms around the station, talk someone personally, and if someone gets a radio peice off a syndicate i can listen into their conversations.

Plan for SS81: Have a "normal" frequency range that can be extended slightly with come clever hacking. The AI has an automatic link to every frequency, and a dialog for what ones to listen to and speak on(With an all on/off button, too), and the display shows what ones have been used in the past 10 seconds and can isolate transmitted codes and decode them.

Also an idea for a gamemode that might make it into SS13 regular, but I must confer with an expert on it.

I somewhat recently ot a set from Tp, I just need to emulate two changes that may or may not have taken place, and may or may not have reduced/ended the freezing bug.
