How do I use the radio I start with. I can get transmissions but not send them.

the command to whisper (and use your headset) is a semicolon, as in

Code: [Select]
say ";Hello.
You can manually turn the microphone on to always broadcast what you say, but that's rather noobish.  Everyone just whispers.

i know its annoying, it cant just be one, you have to take it off, activate it, enable microphone, then put i back on your ear....you cant just turn it one while its on your ear.
gets worse as you have to press the chat button at the start each time otherwise you game takes it as code.

ive tried the semi colon but it doesnt work....that is, if im suppose to be able to hear myself

im good with engines, and if i can get a space suit and jetpack i can start up the prototype gen too

if not ill be security guard, im dangerous when im security  ;D

I've seen that happen once or twice, but it's usually very rare.  the semicolon ALWAYS works for me.

But if you want to do it manually, just keep the dialog box for the microphone open.  You can switch it off and on while it's on your head like that.  You can do the same with internals too, if you want to preserve oxygen.

Zac4213 hosted the first B12 server earlier in the thread. I'll PM him to see how he did that.

Found out how to host, but I doubt I could do it as I live in the Bermuda Triangle of the Internet.

I'd host if I could somehow manage to forward ports. I've already hosted a few games on LAN for me and some friends, and it worked fine.

PS: I call dibs on Toxins! (MWAHAHAHAHAAAA...)

Ya know, the more I play this game,  the more it seems like an extremely rushed and basic version of DF 1.0.

I mean, it tracks everything, everything can be effected in one way or another, from sucking up gasses to blowing things up, and the combat system is based on a non random form of the DF system. Don't get me wrong, it isn't even close to DF in terms of randomness or polish, but there's just something there that reminds me of it.

If you see me say hi.
