Try .ogg format. SS13 supports .ogg as well as MIDI.

If you gave them a biome then the Elves may indeed start turning up with Wagons in cages.
Well, it does tie in to the fact that personality-wise, dragons are nothing more than gigantic, scaly, firebreathing cats.

People are currently combining recent[only a couple months ago] gooncode and bay12 code, in addition the new map design is likely to be a spaceship, rather then a spacestation. Also, Gvad got banned another 5 times.

Just had a bizarre round, someone who wasn't the traitor 'got bored' and killed three people after he accidentally flooded the station with plasma. Fun round though, I adminhelped it.

This game would make some brilliant sci-fi films.

Ok, if people have to defend themselves by attacking other people, something is wrong. We still have the old code? That should load quick. I will try to get on today, just that I finally got Spring going....and ya know, I love RTS's.  ;)

Alright, the old code has a bug where if you lie down, you keep your inertia, even after you stand up.

I know this can be abused to move through airlocks you shouldn't have access to.  So yeah...should probably be fixed some time.

There comes a time when you must take off the soft, furry slippers of a boy and put on the shoes of a man.
Unless of course they don't fit properly and your feet blister up like bubble wrap.
Oh ho ho, but don't try to return the shoes, because they won't take them back once you've worn them.
Especially if that fat pig Tony is at the desk.

I could -try- to make some ambient midis.
I've been trying my hand at making music lately.

Hmm, with our old code, its possible to survive a bomb going off in your hand if you move fast enough.

I canse any of you don't understand why MIDI isn't a universal solution, MIDI is like giving the computer sheet music. It isn't guarenteed to sound good on any other system. Because it basically only needs to signal that channel #3 is using instrument 78, and later that channel 3 has played a note 104 for duration <I don't know how durations work in midi>, with velocity 92, and maybe other settings, rather than play the pre-recorded waveform, midi files are very small. However, different systems play midi files differently. My (and hopefully all) XP uses "Microsoft GW Wavetable SW Synth" by default, but that can be changed (control panel -> sounds and audio deviced -> audio tab -> midi playback), but I generally have it set instead to "USB audio device", that connects to an old keyboard, because it mostly has better quality sounds than the default XP system.

Summary: You cannot convert something to midi, you can only attempt to imitate it with midi, and you cannot guarentee the sound quality, as it varies by system and OS settings.

Also, where supported, FLAC is probably better than WAV. (FLAC *IS* Free Lossless Audio Compression, and the only advantage of wav is keeping all data...)
