Ah, this is a text based IF on a IF engine. Plasma may be possible, but difficult to implement.

I see, I was thinking forum game. Well, how about, most rooms have cameras, and only if someone actually sees you are you seen as a criminal. So if you need a security guard's ID, you should figure out his behaviour and knock him out where nobody can see you.

A small random chance of a bomb going off every time you move! (Okay, maybe not. But it'd be awesome.)

But I thought you wanted it to be realistic? :P

I've used Inform before, actually. And I'll second alfie275 in recommending it; it's very good.

Might go with Inform6.
The whole "literal programming" concept is weird to me.
X is a number that varies.
as opposed to
x = 3

First one is too much typing. Also, we are getting off topic. I'll probably make my own topic for this soon.

Mine was wonky, fixed it as soon as it was mentioned, though.

However, there are things like "Instead of smashing a glass window for the third time with a crowbar:" that will automatically add the special cases wherever they are needed to get the desired effect, and most other languages would take far more work to get it to behave properly.

Also, you will find that global variables are rarely needed.

The admins list is now handled by the database, which means the servers should be a bit more consistent.  Head's server changes are fully done and incorporated into the main branch  :D

I can't tell if that smiley is sarcastic or not.

Kidding. Really everything other then the hunger/thirst system he did was an improvement. One thing, can we get an opt out of the autosave feature? I like being utterly random each round, keeps em guessing. After all, if you know which characters the admins are, then you just grief someone else.

If not appearing in adminwho was saved to the database, it would be useful. I don't know if it is, but if it isn't, it would be a neat addition.

Also, maybe a "randomize all" button, and an option to make totally random the default...
