Ok so currently it seems that the game lacks a focus, other than beat the game mode. It seems a bit unrealistic that a space station would exist solely so some traitor can blow it up. So I've been thinking and I don't know how difficult it would be to code but what if as well as a game mode each game also has an objective. This is pretty much an expansion on the asteroid idea, with mining being one of the objectives, based on each objective the map would differ slightly. Examples could be:
Religious research group: More prominent chapel less in the way of the genetics type stuff no bar, the aim would be to develop a holy weapon (bomb), this would require more complicated bomb making obviously. Essentially you build and test a bomb until you find one that meets the requirements (This could suffer from meta-gaming as once people know how to make a bomb they'll only make 1 to test and 1 to take away rather than using trial and error) Once you have an appropriate bomb you have to build a second one and take it away in the shuttle.
Medical research: Featuring more prominent genetics and medical facilities you are researching a cure for a highly contagious illness (got fed up of misspelling deasise) some players would be test subjects and would be spawned in separate rooms with very little equipment, their objective is to escape and anyone who gets too close without wearing the proper equipment gets infected doctors have to try to cure all the infected.
Anyhow these are just a couple of ideas, essentially the idea is to give a clear aim to work toward with the game mode essentially being a major hurdle that you're going to have to clear to get there.
