maybe the AI should get a notice every time someone enters and exits toxins.

There's a movement sensor, yes?

Yes. Two of them, to be precise.

I think there might be a mapping issue with networking for engineering.

However, as the AI i have helped a traitor [i was reprogramed] kill off the entire crew... although the last few he had to kill personally as they all had prepared for the whole.. everything being depressurized + me shocking doors and the like.. In addition its really easy to cut some network wires [if you have insulated gloves] and cut the ai from large portions of the station... if you actually knew what you were doing you might be able to cut the ai off from controlling anything outside its upload with 8 or so snips..

Yep, thanks for that.  Vin started cutting everything...but he had an unfortunate run in with me later on.  I'll agree though, the AI can get cut off pretty quickly once you realize where the wires go, probably less than 8 snips.

Bolted doors being uncloseable until unbolted would definitely help(Even for non-AI traitors).  I almost like the fact that the AI is slightly vulnerable to network interference, until I remembered that networking wire laying isn't completely functional yet.  Traitor AIs need to be careful, but being able to convince the crew that your laws were changed is a good tactic for them.  People will likely sever your wiring, but if they think you're harmless again they'll likely restore it.  Currently it's impossible for them to do that, meaning that even the slightest hint that you're rogue/traitor will likely end up with you screwed for the rest of the round.

There comes a time when you must take off the soft, furry slippers of a boy and put on the shoes of a man.
Unless of course they don't fit properly and your feet blister up like bubble wrap.
Oh ho ho, but don't try to return the shoes, because they won't take them back once you've worn them.
Especially if that fat pig Tony is at the desk.

I reccomend a very slow AI wireless connection to a few connection points elsewhere. That way, they have to cut maybe 20 wires, everywhere on the station.

Or have multiple wires everywhere so the AI can reroute. Through Atmos for example.

It would be meta gaming to instantly know where the wires were located.

If you gave them a biome then the Elves may indeed start turning up with Wagons in cages.
Well, it does tie in to the fact that personality-wise, dragons are nothing more than gigantic, scaly, firebreathing cats.

Maybe use the network for routing radio messages(nearby radio transmitter/reciever -> broadcast message), and have multiple otherwise disconnected sections route through the AI chamber?

Cutting the network would then inhibit the radio or require getting inside a hostile room.

That'd make sense, actually. Radio repeaters are fun.
