Idea: A chapel next to the engine, with a viewing window into a "cremation chamber" operated from within engineering. Even better, afterwards a mass driver would launch the body into a special alcove within the engine.

Even, even better idea: bodies that actually cremate. I personally would find that absolutely awesome.

Just some kind of fire-related death or funeral would be nice. I can understand how chucking all our dead bodies into space isn't the best idea.
Also, are there any plans to make it so you can take stuff up/down ladders? I.e if I'm dragging, for example, a dead body, it to come with me?

If you push a closet onto a ladder that would go down, the closet should fall through and break open, and have a ~40% chance to break if it is welded.

I know what you are talking about: Admins knew about this one for ages.
I didn't know about it, but then again I dislike using my admin powers. Though I doubt everyone believes that.

Yeah, this is a known bug, but I don't know the cause of it yet.

Also, re:ladders, you can't pull stuff up or down them.  I'm thinking of making elevators for moving things up and down floors.
