What type of, Pen Drive, Flash dive USB etc do you use?

I bought this type of USB, (it's a San Disk Gator Skin USB 4gigs), a couple of months back when the weather was still cold and when snow litered the roads.







It works perfectly, especially when I deleted that crappy software that came installed on it, unfortunatly for me I wanted a pink one; there were only red ones left. :( It was still a bargin as far as things go, around 15$ IIRC and not to mention the last one on the rack.

So Bay12, what do you use for a portable software storage device?

A Transcend 2.5'' SATA case I store my laptop's HDD in.
Failing that, the 8Gb MicroSD in my PPC.

I usually don't carry flash drives around, I have enough stuff in my pockets as it is.

I use a cheap target one, they were five bucks for a gig.



I haven't any issue with it yet.

Some no-name Chinese stick. 1 Gb, and it cost 6€ when I bought it a year or so ago. I don't actually use it to transfer files because I don't need to. It's used for storage of music in my car's radio transmitter (a really nifty and cheap device).

If I really need something like a flash drive, I can carry my USB modem with a microSD in it.

I have a 4 gig flashdrive that got thourghouly soaked along with my keys. Everything was pretty rusted when I found them again, but the flashdrive still works. I lost the car too (the mechanic gave me $100 to use it in a demo derby), so I don't know if the keys still work.

It's "cheap". It was like ~80$ when I bought it. Well I tend to store [temporally of course  :)] lot of stuff on it, including movies, mp3 files etc.

I just use my mp3 player (Philips SA2620/02) - it plugs directly into a usb port, plus I always have it with me. It works fine, but I need to make sure there's at least 16MB free, or it will refuse to play music.

The problem is, I only bought the 2GB model (which I now seriously regret), so I have to convert all my music to 64kbps wma files to fit it on there.
