Name one of the migrants after me. I would enjoy hate it if he were to suffer from an "accident".

You're in luck, cause a ravenous horde of prehistoric accidents are making a B-line for your guy right now!

If they have a miner with them then they might be able to build a bunker...

Actually, that might be an idea, after you kill the raptors flood the world with magma you could build bunkers for migrants to hide in, complete with levers to collapse the entrance and a pick to dig their way out...

Sorry about the lack of updates, real life has been quite demanding lately. I did figure out how to fix the problem I posted, though. Stay tuned for more raptors.

I decided to extend the bridge, just to see what would happen.

Needless to say, savescum was applied.

yeah, similar thing happened to me when it worked, soon as i started, Rapt-rape.

they have [trAPAVOID], yeah? i heard that they still have a chance of triggereing cage traps, i would attempt to fill the entire top area with said traps, catch the damn raptors, stuff them in a pit and cast some Raptor statue molds.

There will never be enough bolts, they will just keep coming, they will always keep coming...

wood may be difficult to replace, while dwarves are a limitless resource...

You can't shoot them until they reveal themselves, unless... Can catapults hit invisible targets?

It just doesn't feel desperate enough, this game needs xenomorphs, lots of them...

next version there may be a way to implement such things RAM, itll be basically a creature that mates with itself upon a kill, creating another creature, this could be done i suppose...

Turns out, I didn't actually solve the problem. I don't think it's a stockpiling issue, as the elf items are all forbidden. Furthermore, they all run around outside until they drop dead from thirst and hunger. So it probably isn't a task thing, as those are interrupted by needs. Any ideas?

is anything inside the fort that they could be afraid of?
check what the dwarves jobs are, follow one around 'till you figure it out.

Did you forbid them from going outside?  Maybe there's a skylight that's screwing with them.

They are probably scared of the raptors, that is why they stay out, but the reason they are going out is probably that they are trying to retrieve something from inside the fence. Like the wood, or maybe some rock for the fortifications. Do try forbidding dwarves from going outside, I find that quite motivational. But definitely forbid everything on the surface within the fence. The courtyard is out of bounds for civilians while they can see raptors. Putting them in the military and ordering them inside may stop them from starving to death.

I think it is different things getting them to go outside and keeping them outside.

Do you actually have any food and drink?

Can they access it from the roof?

Can you make a rickety platform over the raptors and drop it on them?

they always start by running to a meeting zone, the wagon spawn, or their next job(after awhile)

so if you designate a zone right outside as a meeting zone...

Well they'll probably die, but it's more fun to get it over with.

If you are going to the trouble of filling the top area with traps, you'd probably have better luck filling it with spike traps and setting the lever to repeat.
