I'll sign up for the succession. It'd be my first succession, and by the time my turn comes about we should already be safe enough for me not to be able to mess anything up.

Pfft. You guys.

It isn't that hard to NOT screw up. The trick is to do almost NOTHING. Don't embark on mega projects you know you'll just fuck up, namely when it involves magma or water and you have no freaking idea how to work with either.

I'm playing this for only two reasons.

1. To say that I did, and maybe defend with an army I didn't have to micromanage for a bit of fun, with almost no work but a bit of waiting involved.

2. To replenish our fortresses supplies. If we need drink, than I'll start a booze making enterprise so. If we need food, tallow biscuits up the...you know what I mean. If we need wood, stone, anything in particular, I'll attempt to get it, and enough of it so that no one has want for anything, can embark on any little or big project they had in mind, or simply expand the defenses in a large way.

Why? Because I expect you bastards to tell me in great detail what you did, and if you don't, I'll stab you.

Ah, you know what I mean.

Well, I think you meant your first succession fort. I hope that's what you meant anyway.

HERE'S AUTUMN! THE BEST SEASON EVER!

After straining for some time, I have finally managed to purge that pocket of water from it's icy prison, and I've established a farm.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Everyone is growing thirsty, I hope I can get something to grow before dehydration takes anyone.

But wait! We have a surprise visitor:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The caravan! Yes, thank you! and no raptors, thank goodness.

Let's give'em some of those mechanism's RAM's been churning out for all their food. They don't have any drink however.

Quickly brewing some of the plump helmets they brought however, I manage to get some drink.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Our stores are replenished, and the farms have time to grow, we are saved! Also, we got an iron anvil and some rope, I hurry and rush everything in as fast as I can before any raptors suddenly attack. Some stray bits of food are left outside because leaving the gate open for every single little thing is dangerous. Also, I made requests for more valuable materials we'll be sorely lacking in (iron, steel, drink, wood, animals, etc),

Ontop of surviving we have this brand spankin' new cavern that has all these free space for us to use! Now I have an adequate place to put all our valuables and workshops and... hold on, what's this "damp silt"? Let's just have Duke mine that out and WHOA!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

An aquifer! A tiny small aquifer at the edge of the map! Now I don't have to commence operation "drop chunks of ice into rock layer"! We have infinite free water forever baby yeah! Now all I have to do is dig out the z-level above it and build a well to harness it properly. The water is even self-containing and self-refilling, I could never ask for more! With the farm, food pile, beer pile, water, and workshops here, this is the most ideal place to put all my workshops, and it'll be even better when I dig one z-level down and harness the power of all the magma just below me.

Wait, what's this? Immigrants!

Alright everyone, here's your dorfs:

and this is the current line-up, minus Broose who is on the second page:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I don't have any weapons at the moment, so everyone requesting a military dwarf will have to wait until I have a proper barracks and training equipment.

which may never come, mind you.

Let's dig out some bedrooms for our new residents.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Yes, now let's just dig and...

wait... it can't be, YET IT IS!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Very first fey mood, and it's all mine! Too bad the exp will go straight to mining, but I don't care, it's all mine!

After a while, I finally finish it.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's so awesome it has a picture of itself on it! I'm gonna use Winter to build myself a mausoleum and put this in their!

Yet to see any Raptors, fortunately?

Winter looks very promising.

No, I don't even think we have any iron deposits, but we have loads of obsidian and some wood, which will make blades which are just as good.

BUT WE NEED ARMOUR. Yes...armour...steel...

"I REQUIRE STEEL! I REQUIRE GREEN GLASS! I REQUIRE ADAMANTINE! "

...What's that? Your fine with just locking me into a room?

WorkerDrone has become a Unkillable Noble.

WorkerDrone has Mandated 15 Steel and Adamantine Artifacts.
