I just started one and the random generator tossed up "Cavefortress." So. Um. Yeah. At least it's accurate..

Mine's called "Tunnelwork", set up by "The Picks of Digging"

Which is all fine and dandy until you realise my parent civ is "The Mountain of Boats" Yeah, that makes sense.

My current fort is Masterbasements, in the Guild of Virginity setting. Haha, what's even funnier is that it's a succession game.

"Laborshafts" run by the group "The Crazed Ceiling" which is fitting for my plans.  Both of which were random.

My current group is The Messianic Knife, building a fortress they've called the Shimmered Blockades. Part of the kingdom of The Relieved Bells.

The last two names are weird rather than cool but you can bet your ass that this group don't put up with no heretics or nonbelievers!

One of my experimental forts was named "Ringdeath" (thank you RNG!) and I decided to test how pressurizing magma (via use of pumps) works in a ringshaped death-entrance.

Well I have to admit that my huge, 20 z-level Hadron-Collider lookalike fails at creating a magma fountain, but at least it can kill things with slowly (but MENACINGLY) rising magma.  :-\

Other names include a randomly genned adventurer named "Boltrider" (or boltridden or somesuch). A shame he got killed by wolves, death by master-maksman/dwarv/goblin would have been more ironic.

If you've been paying attention to my thread, you already know what I'm going to say. But, oh what the hell...

One of the most metal names for a fort/megaproject

ARMOK'S GAUNTLET!!!

AKA (due to the vocabulary of DF)

Nazushdur Anrizgeshud Nom

Bloodfist the Sky-Fortress of God

(Alright, so I manually named it; what of it?)

Other names include a randomly genned adventurer named "Boltrider" (or boltridden or somesuch). A shame he got killed by wolves, death rape by master-maksman/dwarv/goblin would have been more ironic.

My current fortress is Anvilnotches, inhabited by the Construct of War, who are citizens of the Halls of Ash. My best randoms yet, and my best fortress yet (not that that's saying a lot).

You know what you should do? Setup pressure switch traps with anvils supported by drawbridges overhead.

Let invaders die a cartoony death. ;D

Definitely a stage above a stone-fall trap death. And it can be easier to reload. Just keep a stockpile set only for anvils on top of the drawbridges.

Pretty simple rigging.

After reading this thread I´m starting an adventurer named Alocasi, meaning Shakespear.

We all kill by throwing random stuff, but imagine killing by throwing random stuff with poetic meaning...
EDIT: 2 deaths later: Nevermind.

My best random fortress name would probably be Angeract or Trumpetworthy.
And as for non random names, I usually name my group "Ancientaunts the Bloody Big Ball Blisters".
