Reporting Bug: Unconcious Tantrum thrower
« on: May 10, 2009, 08:46:26 pm »

In my game I have an unconcious dwarf throwing a tantrum. He is just lying on the ground unconcious for 3 seasons. And now is throwing a fit lol.

P.s. Not a bug, but has anyone had a dwarf pick up a dead dwarf body, move in halfway across the map. Set it down, and sleep on it as a bed????

The PS is just that they passed out while carrying it.

What version are you playing?  Supposedly this was fixed in 39a.

I had a bedridden guy flip out as well, playing 40d10. I can't remember what the exact message was, but I think it was "gone berserk", nothing about a tantrum. I didn't notice if he was even able to lash out against anyone, but the others sure as hell regarded him as hostile and clobbered him to death.

If he was just bedridden, that's fine, although the clobbering might have been unwarranted.  It's not a bug unless he was unconscious or asleep.

Right, forgot about whether he was asleep or not.

About his clobbering, I'm unsure if I had been able to prevent it if I even cared to, because he was a soldier. He was also in the barracks and he wasn't the only soldier there. Shall I go on?

Go on as in keep playing that fortress?  I would.  I'm guessing that he went insane due to wounds so painful he couldn't rest properly, so he was probably doomed.  And unworthy.

Go on as in continue my description. I hinted at him being surrounded by other soldiers and hence pretty much doomed once he threw his tantrum or go berserk, however feeble his attempts might have been, being bedridden and all. I mean, I don't think I could have saved him, especially since there were a couple champions in the barracks whom I couldn't even demobilize.

And about going on = continuing the fortress, I gave up on that one anyway. I later realized (and seeing how I've only been playing for around a week now, every fortress is quite an intense learning experience) that my location was sub par, as was my planning of it.

Oh, gotcha.  No, there probably isn't a need for other details, unless there was anything to indicate he was asleep at the time.
