Constructive Criticism
« on: October 13, 2004, 05:55:00 am »

This game is... great. The shear open-endedness of it is awe-inspiring. I sincerely hope that you carry out your current plans and more.

With that out of the way, here are all the bugs/problems I have encountered for your reference.

1. About half the time I try to shoot an arrow (it seems to be anything I begin with that is made of a liquid... Yes, I got a water arrow... Is that meant to happen?).
2. I lose my lungs and I keep living. I don't die from lack of breath.
3. I can't get anything I make with the editor to work! heh heh

" I lose my lungs and I keep living. I don't die from lack of breath"

I guess this is because you actually die from the loss of oxygen which in turn does cell damage.
But I might check myself...

I actually walked around for a while before getting killed in another way... The air meter thingy only seemed to go red and not decrease.

Hello...  I'll try...  I've been filling out applications and things...

The item material code isn't as strict as it should be.

I think the air meter going red might refer to your blood not being supplied correctly or going toxic (liver damage?) -- if it goes down, you are losing air (not sure that can happen yet -- more for holding breath.  I don't remember if lung damage does it).

Oh, and yeah, it's really slow now.  Combat release is meant to fix this.  And the editors suck.  I included them more for people to do little tweaks.  They aren't documented now...

Had no internet for a while, so I had time to play around with the editors. Some of them aren't so bad to work with once you get the hang of them. For instance, the material editors, magic, item stuff, and fields. The creature editor is tough, though. x.x

What I personally would like the most in them would be more options for fields. Lots of possibilities in them. Some way for materials to give off fields, spell types to cause fields, and more flexible ways to affect a creature that's within a field. Can fields manifest as materials yet? I haven't been able to test it...

Sorry for the barrage. Worked up a lot of excitement for this game, looking further into it and such.  :p

Yeah, size isn't used right now when making items.  It's hard to mass produce things as it is set up now because your character has to pick what material to use and then perform the action.  This takes time and you might be attacked and so on, so it should probably go back to the main screen as things stand.

He he he.  Editors are for tweaking right now.  Doing anything more is hazardous.

Fields can't manifest right now, but I wanted to put the option in so that I wouldn't have to tear up the files later.  I'd like to do it.  Such a backlog...  etc...  plus I just made that dook model for no damn reason...  my mind must be going...  going down...

It was a joke. I am guessing that english is a second(or third?) language to you(which is impressive. I only speak/communicate in one language and I don't even do that well) and as such there were a LOT of errors in your post. SO much so that it was difficult to read at all so by pointing out the relatively inconsequential spelling error(Omega/omaga)...well, it is like someone is shooting RPGs and missiles at you while calling you names and some bystander says "My God! HE is calling that guy names!"(ignoring the ballistics).

Or to translate that for you...

It was joking. I am gueesed that english is ungood(not for bad. I am only tri speeching in this language and sometimes make not good) for you. When talking that one small world was misspelled while not speeching the more words that was not goodly done, I funnyed up the responded!

I know a 26 year old double graduate from America who has real trouble just constructing a sentance... and I'm not talking about the Toad for once.
