So yeah that sweatshop bit was a joke, and the point that I was trying to make is that if we make it as cheap as possible, its less of a hassle, and people will actually buy the shirts if they are inexpensive (or totally awesome).

I am, by no means, attempting to make a profit off of Dwarf Fortress. In fact, the whole plan was just to run the shop in my free time, and give all of the earnings to Bay12.

Also does anyone want a shirt thats like the original one I posted, but with an E?

I kind of figured the sweatshop idea was a joke ... just had to say something in case it wasn't! A bit of a pet bugbear of mine.

(are bugbears tameable?)

For what it's worth I would personally like some DF merchandise. Possibly a mug (or three?). With a picture of a mug on it. A free-standing vein of admantine merges out from the base as you finish your hot drink.

Hopefully people would buy the merch even if it was a bit more expensive, but it is a valid point that most people in the world prefer to spend less money on things if they can (even if a child has done a twelve hour day to make it ...)

Just a plain shirt with this on it:

☼cotton shirt☼

Or whatever material it's made out of.

What would be the best phrase to put on a DF shirt?

I still like my idea of an ASCII art mushroomcloud, but built entirely from c's.

It's a shame I suck at ASCII art.

Here you go. This was just a quick replace all on an ASCII art mushroom cloud found via Google.

If the shirts should be anything, it should be like looking at a screen of the game, but zoomed in. Possibly from the POV of the creature involved.
The front of the shirt should be the surface and the back of the shirt should be underground, or 1 level below, or something similar.
For ease of understanding, text meant to be read should be non-ascii. Also, little notations could be added to explain what's going on, possibly with in-jokes:
0 A Carp
1 A Dwarf
2 A Dwarf Leg

Where 2 is placed... on a 2 on the shirt.

I'd love to own a plain black polo with a single dwarf where the IZOD alligator should be.

someone had an epic idea in a similar thread a while ago
It was to essentially cover the entire t-shirt with a fortress - would look epic tbh but probably quite expensive to make.
